5 жыл бұрынThis siren is the Mineola Fire Department's Headquarters Siren. It is sounded everyday at 6 PM excluding Sunday, and for all fire calls in Hi-Lo. This siren is located atop the Mineola Volunteer Fire Headquarters in Mineola, NY on Washington Avenue.

The siren has a stuck solonoid so the chopper keeps buzzing and the horn is pointing down probably from from a loose bolt either way it sound amazing and different from other 1003s

It was repaired in 2020, then it was replaced by an other 1003 that's nearby it's old location in 2021, it is currently in refurbishment and repair and will be used once the new fire department is done

I can prove that the collector ring is fine, if the collector was not fine the chopper would be destroyed and they probably wouldn’t use the siren if they did it wouldn’t sound like anything but if your super close it would sound like a Thunderbolt blower

This is an old video of the original Thunderbolt 1003. This one got taken down to be refurbished, so the yellow one is still there until the new fire department is built.

When it runs down it cuts like a electro siren I've been wondering is it a electro siren or a motor siren.... But i think its a fan-powered siren and at the end the fan looses power and cannot make noise (or the damper closed stopping the noise, but there was no noise!!!) Or the video was cut (but i dont think so....)

so heres how it works the sirens chopper spins really fast which sucks in air into the siren(in this case, a blower feeds in air). the chopper spins around a stator which makes the incoming air come in in short bursts which makes the sound

The horn is pointing down because the people are down and the siren is up Also, The solenoid is broken too, and I hope the siren gets repaired and fixed Because it doesn't really sound very good 😕, (joke: why is the siren not working?
