Aloha Misty!! Jose and I were laughing at your comment “it’s pork-o’clock!” We can confess we’ve forgotten to hit the record button numerous times too!! Definitely looked good and agree that the fat on the pork is what adds more flavor! Love the option of mini plates too so you can try more things. Mahalo for the great video and always sharing places that we can add to our list when in O’ahu!!🤙🏽😋

Aloha Misty: Thank you for the great reminder of home! I have been craving cake noodle since I was last in Hawaii - found it in Vegas but not in the San Fran area. 😢. I am looking forward to a cake noodle dish when I get back home again. That veggie looks like blanched Chinese broccoli - we buy it in Chinatown often. When you mention Hom-ha pork with Ong-choy, you got me really wanting to get home - my grand father used to make this dish often. All dishes looked great and huge - enough for a day if nutrition. Great find. Looking forward to the next vlog. Much 🤙and 🧧, my fellow alumni! 🐯-spirit!

Aloha Bill! When I saw the ham ha on the menu it reminded me of you, because you told the story of how your grandfather used to make it for you. I hope you can get back soon to get your fix of cake noodle! Have a great week! Take care.

@@FoodFiend Yes, the hom-ha on the menu is a sign of an authentic Hawaiian-local-style restaurant - no such thing on the menus in my a;tea. I do miss the days of my grandfather’s cooking for us and his love for us kids. You have done a great job of me remembering the days of my growing-up; for which I thank you dearly! Keep-up the great vlogging and teach Aiden the cu;lure of our heritage and f culture. Best wishes and a very ❤️-felt aloha! Much 🧧! 🤙

Spot on! Had the roast pork and roast duck and it was very tasty. I agree with the saltiness of the roast pork and sauce for the cake noodle. Definitely get it on the side if you’re taking out. They give a lot, saving the other half for dinner. IMO, it’s way better than that Chinese kitchen above Times Aiea.

Thought crab ragoon was weird the first time i tried it while living on the mainland for school a long time ago. Never had jalapeno poppers or anytime comparable at the time. But now i think they’re bomb, i even like it dipped in the fluorescent red sweet and sour sauce 👌! And cake noodle! Enjoyed seeing all that fried American/Hawaii Chinese goodness 👍!

Have a great weekend AussieAngie! This is the first time I've seen it here in Hawaii. I bet they're easy to make. Just soften some cream cheese, dice a little onion, some light salt and pepper and add some crab and put it in the middle of a won ton wrapper, seal and fry. Let me know how you like it if you do make it!
