Thank you for making a tutorial that is easy to understand and replicate much easier. You made sure to include small details that made all the difference for me. The details such as paper weight, types of paper to use and show what tools and how to use them. I have watched so many videos and I would get confused. I think it is great that you gave understanding for the measurements to make different sized books. I think taking the time to understand the marks by using the tape as you go helped me understand the gusset process. You took the time to slowly explain the processes and I feel the difference is that you are not rushing to finish your video. I can't thank you enough.

This was an outstanding tutorial. I have watched several tutorials and many of the instructions were so confusing but you have a great way of making things very clear to the viewer. I have made scrapbooks before but I really wanted to know how to complete one from start to finish with the hinge and all and this was perfect. I like how you explained about making our own size and how to determine that. I know I will be referring back to this one often. I did make one along with this tutorial and I am ready to start decorating. I know anyone who wants to learn how to make a mini album should not hesitate to follow along with this one and they will have no trouble making their own album. I have also subscribed to your channel and will be looking at many of your other videos for sure.

I've made several mini albums using the hidden hinge after many many online searches....your tutorial is by far the BEST I've come across in terms of common sense ways of "seeing" how to get what you want in an album and then adjusting the measurements to make that end result a reality. Obviously I'm a late comer to this tutorial, but I think it's an evergreen video that crafters should bookmark and look at every three months just to keep their creative edge. Congrats on a great teaching moment! You nailed it.

I so enjoy your youtubes. I apparently have a heavy hand so I use 74lb. To 80 lb. I make my gussets 1/2" and score my cardstock at 1/4". I just started leaving a space between chipboard pages and like that so much better! Thanks so much for sharing!

I like this tutorial as it is from start to finish with clear instructions, I am going to make one for my sons wedding next year and we also have two babies due in the family at the end of the year so I may even have a go making one each for them xx

I am not new to many albums by any means, and I have watched innumerable number of videos on KZfaq and I have to say that you're tutorial is wonderful you would be able to hand a link to your video to someone who has never made a mini album and they would be able to make a beautiful project. kudos to you and keep up the great work!

This tutorial has been so helpful, especially the concept of the mini album. Your instructions and tips have helped me complete an album I can be proud to give as a gift to my daughter for her birthday. She lived in Japan for 3 years, so this is done with the DCWV Far East collection. I want to make a bigger album next, maybe a 9x7, since you taught me how to figure out the measurements. One thing I did different was to use Kathy Orta's Hidden Hinge Plus binding. A problem I discovered was the pages ended up 3/8" too wide! I forgot to consider the extra width the HHP system added. I panicked at first, I didn't want to scrap the whole book, so I carefully used my paper trimmer and trimmed 3/8" off each page (I had already attached my pages before I closed the book and realized my boo boo). Oh well, that's how I learn most things, by trial and error. Anyway, just wanted to say "Thank You So Much" for this tutorial. I'm sure I'll be referring back to it many times. I have watched a lot of videos on binding systems, this is by far the easiest to follow, and I was able to make a workable binding the first try. Got so confused with the others. thanks so much

This is a great tutorial. I made it into a 12 page book and it worked well. I didn't use the chipboard for the cover and spine but I think the next one I make I will try and find the chipboard. Thanks for this.

I have to say this is the best tutorial I have seen ever! I have been months..... And I mean months...and buying templates.....and so much more to just get this book down....or should I say a book! 🙈🙈! I have over bought trying to get one book done....but after watching your tutorial I am going to go tackle it now!.... All I wish was I had measurements for a large book. I made one but used a album binder and didn't care for the holes and didn't have half the pockets you have taught here. It's my granddaughter first year book....so I'm doing a redo....thank you so much!

I've never made an album before but following this wonderful tutorial I've just made an 8" x 6" album. A few very minor errors but nothing that shows so I'm really pleased with the result. Really looking forward to decorating it now!
