Thank you for the 'permission' to go looseleaf! I know I work more adventurously when I'm not worried about spoiling a fixed page journal. Ring bound is so freeing and flexible. I particularly like your pages using napkins.

I realize that I have some journaling that I would rather never read over again. I think I may go back into some of my older journals that I love a lot of what I’ve done, and just paint and stamp over those random pages that I won’t tear out because it would make other pages fall out also. That would be such a good way to enjoy the ‘relooking’ over what I’ve done in the past. It seems that you always come up with an answer to a question that I wasn’t quite sure of being there,,, Thanks

Helen: I really like a ring type book where you have the option to pull out and put in. I guess that is why I like a three ring binder for some of my work. Your artistic book is fun to look through and see all the different materials and styles you have tried. Most enjoyable! Carol from California

Thank you so much Carol. It’s great being able to move things around isn’t it. I’m just trying to come up with a binding solution so that I can reuse the rings. I think I’ve found a way 🥰❤️

Great journal Helen, I always thought that I cannot use ring bound journals because I am a lefty but this system is perfect for me! I see a hand made travel journal with different types of paper (dotted, watercolour, etc.) being born 🤩

thx for this great flip through. Just what I need, because I want to create a family photo album. just couldn't find the right way to start. but this is the ultimate, great, super easy way to bind the pages with lots and lots of photo's and other stuff. I bought the materials. It's gonna be a long project but this is so helpfull!!

I love this little journal. I bought myself a small on at the National Gallery & love it. On the first black piece, did you cover it in black acrylic then add the other bits? Does it show up? I love the texture paste pieces. Would really like a session on seeing what goes on what as far as different media go. Loved the 'wonky lines' piece. How inventive! Fascinated with the napkin pieces. Thank you for a lovely few mins of seeing you using acrylics & texture!

Thank you so much Julia. With the first page I added all the colours and doodles first. I then used a stencil mask with black acrylic paint before adding my writing in white on top. So many fun experiments in this journal 🥰
