I've decided to change some things up for a bit, ditching the truck camper and going mini bike camping in a canyon in the desert.

Excited to try this mini bike, I'm used to taking my truck camper off road for these adventures but lately I've been craving some wind in my hair and this mini bike looked like a lot of fun. Join me as I explore this desert canyon and find a perfect spot to do some off grid hammock camping!

Primary rule, when you get to camp, set up camp first before you go sight seeing. As you said, it got dark a lot quicker than you planned for.

Hannah Straight Knievel, handled it like a pro! Beautiful place, great scenery and soft trails for riding. When you tie the bike down you should invert the tie downs from how you had them, reason being when you go to tighten the straps you’re able to add the force of your body weight getting a more secure load. Great video

Hey Hannah just a general rule of thumb on how much time you have in the evening place your hand horizontal at bottom of the sun count how many fingers til one hits the the ground each finger is 15 minute give or take til sun sets.

@@MarshallSmith27 I was out of town all of 2020 for work.......remodeling a campground in the mountains and I stayed in my trailer in a host site with full hookups and got prevailing wage, paid for using my trailer, perdium, and only had to commute 3 hours on sunday evening and 3 hours friday night to go home. I like camping so it was a win win all around. The reduced traffic during the lockdown was awesome. At least there was some good to go with all the bad for 2020.

Your music when you first are riding down the trail should have been "Born to be Wild". Maybe that's a bit before your time, but in my time, that was a staple for motoring down the highway.

Love the pit bike, they are fun to ride. Put the kickstand up before you load and unload it. It should be up when it is tied down too. You don't want to lose it!

It's the badger that rules the desert. P& j absolute staple. French press is amazing. I've gone through so many ritual's around coffee. Started in the high Sierra's and camp coffee. Filter cone plastic then glass now coffee has to be organic

I love it....pretty sure somebody else has said this, but get rid of those tie down straps before you have a problem and get ratchet style straps.

Never use ratchet straps on a motorcycle, you will over compress the suspension and blow out the seals on the front forks.

Great vid. Suggestion. Check out the Honda Rukus. Street legal (doesnt require a MC endorsement; just drivers license) and can handle a little off road stuff like in this vid too. Gets 100 mpg. 35 mph. Very reliable. Take care.

I hauled more on a similar carrier, just get a pin that you can tighten the carrier to the receiver so it does not bounce.

Getting the bike off the rack actually went way better than I expected it to. Probably because I was thinking of the way I would do it, and expecting Hannah to do the same. Just pick it up off the rack. Good job. Work smarter, not harder.

Cool cool cool. When transporting bike via truck or trailer, use ratchet straps to compress front forks, and don't put down the kick stand (keep bike as vertical as possible). Cool vid! Loved it!

Oh my goodness!!! You are absolutely the coolest girl!!! That's a little bit sad that you weren't allowed to have a minibike as a kid. When I was 10 years old, I just went out and got myself my own minibike, regardless of wether or not my parents wanted me to have it. And I've been trail riding ever since.
