I was so inspired to give this a whirl after watching the linked video below from Dede Willingham. Her live stream goes into detail on how to make these (linked below). I hope you enjoy this video and give this a try. Its a great way to use those art supplies that have been sitting around.

This technique looks like a lot of fun. I was just thinking the other day as i wandering thru HL, that i would like to finger paint again. Remembering what it was like as a child doing arts and crafts. And now, here you are creating a version of it. How amazing! Thank you Debbie for bringing this art to us.

The gondolier guy was perfect with that background! And I do love the final shot with the painting that you muted, and then used the baby wipe on. Excellent video again!

Cool pages Debbie. 'Fallen in to the Collage Soup thing' hit my funny bone. In my opinion the Collage Soup books are kinda cool but very expensive and it seems that we are not mixing the Collage Soup images with other things....which to my eyes ends up with much of our art work all looking alike (which is not bad) but......perhaps not as potentially captivating as possible. That being said...I appreciate everyone's art and the time they take to record and show it. LOVE YOUR FRESH APPROACH CHANNEL DEBBIE....and your kind voice and teaching!

Hi Sherry. I totally understand and agree with your thoughts on the CS books. It's funny that you are talking about this because I was working on something today and nearly that same thought crossed my mind as I was flipping through my CS flower book. Thanks for your thoughts 🤗

Love this! I use my DD copies for collage all the time. However, I have been hoarding my 20+ years of Somerset Studios, and other Stampington publications, that I've hung on to but never thought of using them for this kind of project. What a great idea!

Wow sounds like you have quite a selection of magazines. I'm ok with cutting up my old ones but I can see how some people might have a hard time cutting them up. Let me know if you give it a try. Thanks for the great comment. 🤗🫶🤗

Hi, Debbie I have seen a number of people add paint to their glue books and generally felt that's fine for them but I'm not so sure it's for me. I very much like this idea of blending with the paint. This I know I will try. Nancy

Hi Nancy, I mentioned this briefly, if you use Golden Matte Medium as the glue for your collage pieces and some over the top of the images, scrape over it with a credit card while wet, let it dry, it will do a few things. 1. It will allow you to use a baby wipe to remove acrylic paint, in case you don't get it right the first time. 2. You can use colored pencil on top of the magazine page, which can be very helpful. I'll try to remember to mention this in the next video. Let me know how it goes. 🤗

Hi Laura. I briefly went over it in the part 1 of this series. I used a metal ruler and a box cutter. It's not easy and takes some time. Next time I will go to our office supply store and have them cut it for me. Safer that way.

Hi there. I used a box cutter and metal ruler. I think I explained it in more detail in my 1st video of this series. Here's the link kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atWlks6A3d3aoac.htmlsi=20k9ik77ZVlys5yc Some office supply stores will cut it for you. You just have to call and make sure they have the machine to do it. Next time and my recommendation is to pay to have them cut it. Be safe and pay to have it done. 🤗

Hi there! I use the long right side (the off cut) to collage with. I used the small top cut to collage in, using mostly things I find in the off cut portion. Sometimes finding small images like stickers or thing in other book or magazines as focal point. Blending colors with craft paint and my fingers. New video on this technique is coming out tomorrow.
