Now they BELONG. They now have a HOME. They now are part of a FAMILY. As a child I felt like those three lost boys. I felt I did not belong anywhere, or to anyone, in a loving way. When I got my son, that pain started to heal. Belonging MATTERS! So, thank you Daddy Wester for letting them belong.

I think that we were all hoping that we were right about you moving the mini donkeys to Longhorn Lester's. You have a heart of gold when it comes to loving and caring for animals, especially those who are in distress. 🥰 You and Jami are the very best ones at loving all of these babies.

Oh Lester I’m not a betting person but I would have bet everything I had on you saving those donkeys. Its what you do. I remember you saying when you went to get Dan and all those donkeys loaded themselves on the trailer you didn’t have the heart to take them off so you bought them all. This right here is just one more reason we love you. Your heart is as big as Texas. You have to wonder if at one time they were loved by someone and then just thrown away to fend for themselves. They will learn what a wonderful life is like with you. I didn’t realize how small they really were until we saw them with Dan and the gang. Thank you so much for caring for them.

Everyone needs to feel loved. They have been abandoned & had to go into survival mode. They had no one who cared about their well being. They were NOT shown love. You are possibly the very FIRST person to show love, compassion, concern, & assuring them you care, & will make sure they are taken care of. Like the dogs you rescued, who needed someone to show compassion, & lo e, & to know you will make sure they have food, & water. POSSIBLY your love, compassion, & care will cause them to gentle down. I have full trust and confidence in you & Jami. You will do what is right for them. Possibly they will calm down & be the best mini donkeys. Praying for you & Jami & the animals. Under the title for LHL. A man with a caring and compassionate heart. I love that you took the responsibility of caring for these 3 "feral" donkeys that no one cared about and were most likely dumped out there in the woods by an irresponsible owner. I think they may not be as bad as I thought as when you got in the trailer there weren't any pinned ears or attempts to bite or kick you. Away from the horses in heat and not feeling threatened with ample food and water they may turn out to be nice donkeys.Certainly once neutered they will also calm down. Thank you for caring about them when no one else would ! Big props to you Lester !

💗💗💗 Lester & Jami, blesssssss your hearts of gold. My husband and I rescued a small donkey, 12 years ago from a very similar situation when he was just a year old. He came to us full of gaping infected neck wounds, full of larvae. The previous owners were absolutely devastated on how brutally violent the attacks were from the other dominant male.
