If you are in the market for a used mini excavator, there are a number of things you need to consider before you spend any money. Mini excavators are great machines for any construction business. They can get into hard to reach places, dig foundations with ease, and do a number of other things. Throw in attachments and you will have a machine that can make a huge difference in your operation.
In this ConEquip 101, Ben shares some important tips when it comes to buying a used mini excavator. From what you will be using the excavator for, to the type of ground you will be operating on, there are a lot of things to consider.
From the machine's engine to the final drives, the cylinders, bucket, and cab, there are more than a dozen important areas you need to check out.
Once you decide what kind of mini-excavator you want to buy, you need to take a close look at some main parts. Ben has a unique look at this buying process.
In this video, we look over a Bobcat mini excavator. This video will definitely apply to most makes and models including Komatsu, Kubota, Caterpillar, and Case.
Watch the video closely. Do you see somethings out of the ordinary?!

What would you say is an hour mark that a machine shouldn't be bought? Assuming I'm looking to have a machine run me for 10 years @ 200-300 hrs per yr. Great video by the way! I really appreciate you helping out the uneducated.
@Conequipparts
@Conequipparts 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Shaymoose! I would say hours on the machine aren't as important as how everything else looks. Good running engine, tight pins and bushings, no leaking cylinders. But of course, if a machine has a ton of hours, that's a good way to bargain the price down! Thanks for the compliment! God bless!
