As the title suggests, it's a mini version of Federal Signal's 500- this being the 10/12 model. This siren as well as my 5T and P-15 were beautifully crafted by Edaan's Mini Sirens. This particular siren also employs a ~15% larger chopper assembly compared to the rest of his siren line as I desired a longer wind down. enjoy! ©️PugetSoundSirens 2012-2023. You can order any custom chopper from Edaan. They just wont have housings like the ones he lists on his site like the 5T/10V and so on.

Because ACA copied this design essentially for the Cyclone. Just changed it to 8/12 and added their directional rotor.

Yeah, not quite. The port ratio is the same, but because the 500 doesn't have a separate chopper for each port ratio, it tends to be much more raspy. Same thing for the allertor as well.

It's a 500.. you can thank it for making the cyclone possible. ACA copied the 500 design and changed the port ratio from 10/12 to 8/12 and added directional fins

Absolutely. ACA took inspiration from Federal's 500 while making the P-50/Cyclone. ACA just chose a different port ratio (8/12 vs 10/12) and used their directional rotor technology.

Done? It’s been finished for 2+ years. This siren is just the rotor and stator core. A full 500 at this scale would be expensive.

Nah, the rest of the siren was too big for the printer. It was just the core that I had requested

Not quite. Pitches are identical in both. It’s the separate rotors on the 2T22 that make it sound slightly different from a 10/12 500 or even an allertor.

Because it is louder in the cone. The cone projects the sound. Ever seen a trumpet before?

@@EddSjo how does it project the sound, if the sound is coming out of the ports? The air is being sucked into the cone not blowing out. PS. I play trombone

@@ThunderboltSirenStudios with sirens, the sound is spread 50/50 out of the intake and ports, most of your bass comes from the intake while the rasp and treble come out the ports. That's why sirens like the 2T22 that just throw intake sound at the ground kinda suck with range.
