Galaga is one of my absolute favourites. It actually came out in 1981 but I didn't "discover" it til 1993 when I went on holiday to a very empty run down camping site near Porthcawl - it was the only arcade game in the "games room", so I was stuck with it for a whole week. Thankfully, I LOVED it. I knew Space Invaders, but this was like that but with colour graphics and the aliens flying around in beautiful balletic circley patterns, and therefore waaaay more interesting to me. Plus, cos it was an ancient title by that point, it was reduced to only 2p a go! GET IN! Also: Oric and Pancakes definitely do love me in their ratty way, they told me when they were running away as I tried to pet them 😂 Awesome video as always, stay safe 💜

The quality is just excellent, i'm impressed. When i was a kid during the 80's, i remembered there were also some kind of arcade tables in motels. You could taking your breakfast and also playing it at the same time.

It's not a proper arcade cabinet until it's gunked up with mystery substances from lots of people touching it. Oric sneezing, and climbing, on it was just an attempt to make it more authentic :)

Ah yes, Galaga - easy to play, nigh on impossible to master. I was never good at this game back in the day, and this was the full size version. This mini-cabinet is very, very cool.

Very close to getting one of these, but went for Pac Man and pre-ordered Space Invaders instead as I have more fond memories of those, even if I suck at them. Great vid as always.

Cor, that does take me back as I got barred by the arcade in the strand in London because I was so good at it and 10p lasted ages and they got right moody about it. It was Galaga, then Star Wars sit inside vector grafx going round and round til I usually handed it to some waiting kid who burned at the extra hard mode, then some weird space shoot'em up which had these massive drum beats coming out then maybe a fruity or two as back then I was doing a YTS developing and programming fruit machines and Prestel stuff and some other bits and pieces and I knew the sequences of quite a few JPM machines back then and I could empty a Reel Crazy fairly easily which made the arcade lot extra grumpy hehe

I remember playing this in the arcades when I was a kid. One of my favorites. I have to admit they do a really good replicating the original. On a side note, it's funny how often rats sneeze. I had a couple of spotted rats when I was younger.

I was lucky enough to get a C64 console for my birthday the other day. Great to hear the SID chip Rob Hubbard music, Monty On The Run. I'd forgotten how hard 8-bit games were tho; I used to be good at Mega Apocalypse; now I play it like a toddler on vodka; great music tho'.
