I'm blown away by how good those hats sound... I just went and ordered a set (and they're craaaazy cheap too btw). I like to have a set of hats that emulate the old jazz sound, and you often see old jazz drummers using mini hats. I'm going to put together a micro-set with a converted tom for bass, maybe 10" high tom, 12" floor tom, 12" snare and 16" bass- and these hats will be perfect for that. I'll find a good 14 or 16" crash that rides well, and use it for a main ride, and that's it. 10" hats, and a combo 14"or 16" crash/ride cymbal, easy peezy. Stagg is no joke, I know the snobs are saying "Staaaaagg? Oh my" but the fact is they are making some seriously nice pies. I've heard a wide variation among the same models, but that's true of almost any cymbal line. If you have a chance to try them, Stagg will shock you with their value. Get over the name-game, instruments are about sound which is pleasing to the ear, period. Can't wait to get my mini hats!

Just ordered a pair of these to compliment my Odery 'Cafe-Kit'...can't wait. Should compliment my other no-name B20 cymbals (Tongxiang 'TG line' and Centent 'Ardour' line...crazy name, but great pies) :D
