Efra was right, when Lea turned around she recognize Esang playing her in Its showtime Little Me. You guys should have played it instead of skipped the judges fight for her it was cute

Esang played the role of Matilda with Lea's daughter Nicole. Also was cast as Little Cossette in Les Miserables Asian tour with the help of Lea and her mother. There's a video of her singing naughty along with her alternates

this blind audition was one of the best not just because of Esang's performance, but also because of how the judges fought for Esang hahaha you should watch the whole video, it was hilarious how they gave their all just to convince the little kid.

If you watched the whole thing, when Lea first approached Esang, Lea asked Esang where did she sing and who she copied singing as because Lea knew that Esang joined the segment Mini Me in It's Showtime. That's why when she hit her button and turned and saw it was Esang, Lea knew she was going to be her coach.

Prior to this audition, Esang joined "Mini Me" segment on "It's Showtime" as Lea Salonga. Lea obviously saw her as Mini Lea Salonga, that's why she said "You are mine!" upon turning. What made Esang's audition more interesting is that Sarah really wanted to be Esang's coach, too; that's why you can see regret/frustration on Sarah's face when Lea turned for Esang.

Even after her stint in The Voice Lea & her mom introduced her to Cameron Mackintosh,when he came here to attend the gala of Les Miz run here in the PH, and was asked to auditioned & Lea coaching her got the part of Collette as one of the alternate

From what i heard/read that Lea's mother no longer go to gatherings/party, for example before Lesmiz opens in Manila but She insisted in going and asked Cameron "Are you looking for a talented kid because there's this kid... etc etc. At that time they already have a complete set of Cast from Uk and Australia but asked Esang for a close audition because of the recommendation of Lea and her mother. No other kids were asked to audition just Esang and yes Leas asked her to come over to train her and explained to her what the producers will expect from her. She was one of the little Cosette also in the Asian tour of Les Miserables.

Lea is so excited when she saw Esang cause she knew who she is and Lea knew Esang would pick her as her coach. Before that Esang joined a contest in ABS-CBN and she impersonated Lea and she said that her idol is her.

when u see the look of recognition dawning on lea its because she recognized esang as the one who mimicked her in a tv show thats why she said "you are mine" and told sarah "thats it" with an its the end gesture.

Lea was shocked when she turned cause she recognize Esang from another show where the latter impersonated Lea. That was also the first time I saw Esang and was impressed by how good she sang Tomorrow.

Yes, if Lea turns the chair, you must choose her, but after so many seasons, I can truly say that Bamboo was so difficult to please, and if he turns the chair, he knows the contestant has real potential to become a singing artist. Even in his coaching sessions, he transforms artists by pushing them out of their comfort zones, and he does a good job of it.

I think esang chose lea on her own. The translation is “the coach I’m gonna pick is my absolute idol and that is lea salonga”. She probably learned how to sing based on watching lea’s videos.

Backstory : Lea recognized her from a previous show (showtime) where she impersonate Lea in her performance, that's why Lea reacted that way when she turn around and if there is a subtitle the interaction at the end is very funny, because it's pretty obvious that esang idolizes lea salonga hahaha

Esang played Lea in the Little Me competition where child contestants imitated singers. Esang did Annie, in which the young Lea portrayed as a child actress.

Waleska, Esang did that performance on the Wish Bus AFTER The Voice Kids. She was with the other grand finalists, which included grand winner Elha Nympha, whom you know, I think. Also, the reason why Lea reacted that way was that she recognized Esang as her "Little Me". Lea KNEW that Esang was going to pick her. (Sarah tried her best to convince the kid although she kind of knew that the effort would be futile). Esang would, indeed, later play Matilda onstage (she was one of two or three to play the role).

Lea recognized her as soon as she turned her seat. She was shouting "I know you" with both arms reaching out. You also skipped the part where Lea actually asks Esang who she roleplayed as in the other talent show before shouting to the other coaches "see, she's mine".

I met esang when i was a showtime contestant way back 2014. We shared a room together with other kid singers like "bulilit bulilit and liit liit" etc (forgot the other ones)..esang is very lively,shes the only one who played with us,sings for us and talks nonstop. We waited for more than 12hrs for the recording ( it was for dec24 episode,so it was recorded) but esang was still so energetic as if she just got there..very adorable kid

Near At the end of the video, lea salonga declared, " i have waited for you for a long time. I will take care of you." While esang did not win the voice, lea became her lifetime coach and manager in theater acts.
