30 40 years back it was part of main old Jeddah. As Salam Mall and Andulus Mall area was Airport!!😄 Well Sharafiya area gives more feeling of India and specifically South India. Bani Malek is more like Pakistani area It's my opinion.

Bro back in 2006 when i was a young 21 years dude moved to Saudi Arabia my very first accomodation was in Sharfia because it was walking distance to my work what a time that was man, I spent around 7 years in Jeddah then few years in Dubai now in Canada but I will always remember Jeddah and Albaik :D

Sharafiah is one of the oldest Dist in Jeddah back from the 30s and 40s era my father came to Saudi in 1949 at that time was only on the road called Sharafiah. Many known families like Iskandar, Kayani, Hamdani, Nadri, Bakhsh all these families roots are sharafiah because when they came to Saud in early stages the port and the airport were near this area.

I spent 17 years in Jeddah.. and when it's thrusday or any kind of treatment in hospital i used to go sharafiyah with my family.. Al rayan hospital, Badruddin Medical, Badr al tamam.. there has too many green vegetables selling near post office once..my mother buy some clothes, and my sister too.. i go to a shop very much i remember near badr al tamam.. which selling khudarat or 2/3 riyals items, like toys, pencils, pens etc.. also there has a mosque inside markets.. Remembering old days.. sweat memories

I was there during 1997-99 in Jeddah ! Those days Sharfiya was known for Sudani people only ! We Indians used to go there for Paan etc ! Since Paan was banned in Baladh Market !
