I use fake parts all the time. They are cheap and they are ideal for prototyping. I don see any wrong in using them for PRACTICE and TESTING. But if you're going to take part in offical competitions. respect the rules and the organisation.

It absolutely sucks to get scammed, in this case thinking you were getting an official race ready car and then having it come with fake parts. As for fake/replica/aftermarket/non-tamiya parts, nothing wrong with knowingly buying those for testing/prototyping or for keeping costs low if you just want to have some fun.
@finixchi33604 жыл бұрын
Im from the PH, have no issues with fake parts. As the saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. But to declare them as authentic is another thing. That's straight up scamming. Btw, the seller is notorious for overpricing parts. Like waaaaaayy over the roof overpriced.

Hello and good day, At 9mins 15secs mark, you mentioned that tamiya made blue double aluminum rollers 15years ago,are you talking about the 1st generation blue double aluminum rollers,the one with the bushing type in a green packaging? Or tamiya made a blue double aluminum rollers after that which isn't Lightweight. Because I cannot see anything from google beside the 1st generation which is in green packaging ang the Lightweight version. Thank you in advance.

The fact that Tamiya didn't registered his mark is questioning. I think every experienced racer can recognize what's fake from what's original, but that's even Tamiya's fault. I don't think these "stuff" are sold where Tamiya original parts are easy to get. Even here in Europe Tamiya mini4wd parts are are starting to disappear with races. Sadly it's pretty easy for beginners to find these sellers, especially when the parts they're selling are pretty cheap. Good luck to the organizers at controlling every part of every car of every racer. I still enjoy building cars and seeing races, but I'm happily retired now.
@photosbykengo4 жыл бұрын
No problem with copy parts, as long as you don't mislead people by telling them they are genuine and selling them at an expensive price, which is the issue for the seller of this car.
@feroce824 жыл бұрын
@@photosbykengo dunno, sure thing that isn't good look for Tamiya itself. Genuine parts comes into their original package, everything else isn't. Official sellers got the real hit here, especially where Tamiya didn't sell many items anymore. When you're 'forced' to rely on internet for getting parts then find out fake parts it's easy nowadays.

Actually i am very puzzled. Do racers love the hobby itself or love Tamiya? Sure Tamiya and Auldey created and grow this hobby. But unless they patent this hobby itself, they can only at best stop people using non-Tamiya official merchandise from paticipating in Tamiya-organized race. Fair enough. Letting Tamiya dictate what you can put into your cars so that their corporate profit don't get eroded by third party sellers is unhealthy market behaviour and do no good for innovation. If you guys surf AliExpress, you will be very shocked at what is on offer. Price is cheap but what is stunning is the workmanship of the parts. If people decide to spend their money on non-Tamiya parts, there is nothing wrong at all. So what if it break easily? At USD5.00 for 10 FRP, you will have great difficulty breaking all 10 FRP. Someone asked what will then happen to shops who carry Tamiya products if these non-Tamiya products become too well-received. These shops simply have to drop carrying Tamiya products and switch to carrying the more competitive third party products. If Tamiya is serious about their market shares, they will lower their price or risk going bankrupt. This is pure economics.

Alex Soon Well. This car showed in video, the buyer (car owner) wanna to buy authentic tamiya mini 4wd “ready to race” car, but he got scammed ! The situation is like you wanna to buy a real louis Vitton bag, you paid the amount seller asked for it, (also clearly state you wanna a 100% authentic one) but you received a fake Louis Vitton
