I take a pull-behind brush cutter for an ATV or SXS and adapt it to work with my s650tx vermeer mini skid steer loader. I weld on a toro/dingo/universal mount attachment plate, and reinforce the deck with some additional steel. I removed the wheels and height-setting bracket, as well as the trailer hitch bracket as they are not needed when running this with the loader arms on the mini skid. I can easily bolt these parts back on to run it as it was originally intended as a pull-behind setup.
I chose to build this setup as opposed to buying a hydraulic-powered brush cutter to minimize stress on the mini skid. I don't have to worry about bogging down my mini skid loader when this mower is externally powered with a small briggs and stratton motor.
It works great for herbaceous vegetation and small-diameter woody vegetation. It can cut 2-3" stalk
