Filmed on May 26, 2018: Here we take a mini tour of this GORGEOUS old Historic Astor Hotel! This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever been in. The original wing was built in 1863, and the new wing was built in 1984. During the time I filmed this, there were crowds of people (mostly in the courtyard) because they were preparing for a wedding, but still I got a good enough mini tour video this beauty. The elevators are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AS WELL! The fixtures have been modernized, but tastefully done so I am not upset about that. But BIGGEST attraction of the elevators are the beautiful old-fashioned cabs! Although modded, still this is what I call a REAL elevator. I think all the sets of elevators in this whole facility were installed in 1984 (prior to when the new wing was built). Also, we conclude the tour by seeing the old historic manually controlled elevator that was installed in 1923 (the oldest elevator in the city made by Otis). Sadly, it was locked; still, I got an amazing look at it. With that said, enjoy the video! :D
