Hi Well of course it depends on what bands your trying for, and what type of antenna, normally longer is better than shorter for performance but some lengths can case problems on certain bands, Know good length for multiband use would be: 29, 35, 41, 58, 71, 84, 107, 119, 148, 203 ft, try to keep away from 1/4wave lengths if your trying to make it multiband as you will have a high impedance on some bands, the lengths shown here should be easier to get a good match. you could make them up as a dipole or vertical/endfed with a counterpoise wire,. have fun.

ok if you want to keep it really simple then the 'Signaller' key kit I offer is the quickest way to get going, its basically a simple key with a sounder/led so it needs nothing else, or the next level up would be the TK20 kit, that as adjustable volume and pitch PLUS a multimode Morse tutor built in too. good luck with the journey into CW

yes on the back is a bal/unbal switch to isolate the ground on the output socket as the output is via a isolated coupling coil.
