I have just about all the motors that are available (and some that aren’t) for this truck and I’ve bench tested the (Real) RPM for each Moto and to be honest the motor that it comes with is probably the best “All-Around” motor. It’s got decent speed and power. I do have the 3,000rpm motor in it and it does go faster but it’s got a faster top speed and it’s decent as far as acceleration but where it shines is in its top speed. I’ve left the 3,000rpm motor in it because it pretty much can handle anything that comes it’s way. I would suggest that when you’re about to install the motor that you rap the transmission (the gearing block that has all the gear’s connected to the motor) in regular masking tape (not electrical tape because electrical tape will trap in heat whereas masking tape will allow the built up heat to somewhat escape) it will save your gears from having to remove the motor/transmission every time you strip a gear due to some tiny piece of dirt that somehow made to the transmission gears. Ill save you from a headache cause getting to the motor and gears is a little tricky. Hope this helps brother.💯👍🙂
