Great tutorial for my project! The classic methods that I used before require a lot of work with a brush to draw veins and are good for small marble details, but now I have to make a huge area of marble floors in a terrain and I’m even scared to think how many years I would have to draw them without this life hack)

Also, maybe I could use this show streaks in earthy terrain. Like streaks of red clay in dirt or mud.

this works great for smaller scale objects, if you want to try it on larger models or (god help you) cosplay objects, then i would suggest using the fake spider web material. You will have to experiment quite a bit because the webs (like the wetwipes) arent always the same material or made int he same way, but luckily you can get tons of the stuff for cheap the day after halloween.

Thanks for the advice! In my workplace we use big rolls of cotton wool 100 cm (40 inches) wide, I think I could use them for this purpose.

This wouldn't work for me, even though I used 2 different wet wipes. they just fall apart or only ripped at my figers.

I had your same problem. I think I've tried 5 different wet wipes brands before founding the right one for me.

@@CoryCollects I actually tried some things out. it's that the oils in my wipes needed to be washed out before use.

I haven't tried that yet, maybe I will do it next time to see if it gets better. You could also try to use cotton or some pieces of wadding, they work fine as well!

Lacking an airbrush, I used a sponge instead. The effect is pretty decent, though you can also end up with diorite if you are not careful.
