Min pins don't exactly give the best first impressions 😂 I didn't like them either. They seemed tightly wound and yappy. I ended up with two min pin mixes though 😂 Great dogs, very funny and they do steal your heart!

Same! I think it also depends on the personality I guess. They also say they’re independent and my min pin follows me around the house all day and can’t be more than a foot away from me without crying. She LOVES cuddling and sleeping all day on my lap or by my side.

Mine too, she was attacked in Thessaloniki on my birthday (oh the irony), which is on the 1st of January, by a pack of feral dogs. She was bitten on her butt near her tail, but she had her operation and is perfectly healthy (only a light scar remains on her lower back, but nothing else). She's sleeping on the chair next to me as I'm writing this :D

We lost our little min pin almost 2 years ago. My heart hurts every day for my little sweet Gracie. She was the joy of our life. She was 12 years old, and had heart failure and in the end it was live problems that took her . I will never get over losing her. If you have one love on her/him every day.

My min-pin dachshund mix is a bundle of energy. We adopted him as a 3 month puppy from a rescue in Texas. We live in Oregon. We have previously had Dachshund's and love the breed. His mom was a 12 lb. miniature dachshund. Daddy was apparently a long legged fence jumper. He looked like a dachshund puppy in pictures. He is such a min-pin! Extremely energetic and very smart. He loves to fetch. To him, stay means spin around twice then wait for the toss. Fun little guy. Mama's boy. We are retired and he has more energy than we expected but I take him for long walks and that helps. He wants to run. The only way I can walk him is with a gentle leader. He did great in puppy classes but in the outdoors he "walks me". Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

​@@brendastallings7920 Wish I knew. I had a calm dog and she helped teach my little guy some leash manners. However, when he sees certain breeds, he loses it. I just pick him up because he's so small 😂

Yup mine is the smartest most adaptive dog I've ever seen. If I'm being lazy laying around all week he's fine with that, if I run all day for a week he's loved that too. Hes a smart cute hairy human and knows how to use his cuteness to his advantage. He's a white and black min pin/unknown mix, shelter rescue, he's about the perfect size not too large, but bigger than most minpins, like 35 pounds maybe. He's a brilliant soldier and adorable love machine all wrapped up in one.

I forgot to mention he's a literal love/happyness machine. Most wonderful friend/son/fur baby a man could ask for. I've had a lot of dogs and he is by far the best I've ever encountered. He's super flexible when it comes to doing whatever I'm doing, like a furry black shadow he follows me everywhere. He could lay in bed and cuddle all day and the next day he could run at lightning speeds in the park the entire day. Only thing that sucks is he has really bad separation anxiety because I originally got him and a female Australian cattle dog at the same time when I was living with my ex girlfriend, it went great for a few years and then we broke up and she took the cattle dog. It was so sad because we got them so young he loved my ex like she was his mom and her cattle dog like his sister. So when they left, him and I both just layed on bed holding eachother crying for a long ass time and now every time I go to work he's afraid I'm not gonna come back and stresses out all day. He also has nightmares which I'm guessing have to do with what happen in that situation. At night he gets under the covers with me crawls up next to me and sleeps with his face in my armpit, once he falls asleep he starts kicking and crying or barking in his sleep, it's not a normal bark or cry its something he only does when he's sleeping and it's so sad that I always end up waking him up to tell him "it's OK I'm here" kiss him and then run him softly until he falls back asleeo

Mine is 7 years old but he could go and run around outside all day.

My min pin LOVES to walk and run and he is 11 years old. So smart, alert and a super watchdog. The only issue I have is he is alway looking for food. I have to limit his food to twice a day. Wonderful hearing and eye sight. He was a rescue dog and wish there were more like him...

Simply M3 Hoss, my min pin was an overweight pup but he would jump to the ends of the Earth when I would squeak his rubber bones. God forbid I had two. 🤣😭

True. They are not purse dogs. My pups need at least 45 minutes total of walks everyday ( more when younger) PLUS mental activities like training and games. Great dogs though. Smart, fun and clownish. They seem to enjoy making people laugh.
