Don't get me wrong, but it didn't match the interior mata standard. I could have done better with the room setting. Like placing a L shape sofa instead 2 seater one. Putting grey or brown curtains behind the beige curtain, to color block the harsh afternoon light. Placing a moon and a mirror doesn't make any sense. Rather they could've put an rectangular photo frame covering the wall. And in the memory wall they should have put atleast a photo of his winning the Mr World / Mr India with his sachet or maybe with the trophy and indian flag one. Afterall that was his turning point. And a forest green lamp is definitely not going with the theme. To hide the mirror they could've use removable wooden jhali frame or maybe atleast the boarders. And i cant believe they got those things from IKEA. could've find better products from Amazon / Local market

I am an interior designer and i just came across this video. The length of the curtains is making me cringe😭 They match the walls, but what is the point? Even that green cover patch on the window is visible. Well, a little planning before buying stuff could have really worked 🥲 It’s not about making an aesthetic space, the space should reflect its patrons’ personality. The sofa color looks really good though! I wish it was justified with better interiors. Ikea has much better options than what has been chosen🥲 Champa reallyyy, outdoor plants don’t survive on sunlight only there are so many other factors, ofcourse it won’t survive in the Air conditioner running in the mumbai heat. And the plant is placed away from the windows alsoooo. The backrest of sofa and lounge chair, their height doesn’t even match and it is not supposed to too but in this case with a 2 seater , it could have been a single seated sofa chair. No my friend, it is not working with a 2 seater sofa. A sectional sofa would have worked amazingly. No hate, but it is what it is.

I agree, professional architect here and this is such a big let down😔 firstly, this is not Boho at all, it is mainstream Pinterest/Insta decor compiled in a place which had so much potential. You are right about the curtains; sheer paired with some solid linen would have worked great. I wish she’d have gone with a bold sofa color like an emerald or a navy or plush brown leather. The height of the armchair and sofa not matching really stands out in a terrible way in such a small space. The side table was styled but the console table was left bare. The art is bland, the snap wall art looks self-indulgent and narcissistic featuring just photos of the model. I don’t see character or intentional design here. Her makeovers are usually lovelier but this is such a huge miss. She could have done so much better with a masculine industrial style or having some really great sculptural accents if she wanted to keep the rest IKEA but this is not it.

I am going to keep these comments as a point that fellow designers are making an effort to comment here , not an justification but here are some points . 1. Rohit wanted a minimal home so we provided with the same , the briefing was clear from his side . 2. The moon looks absolutely adorable, not everything has to be according to regular design standards ( as per books ) 3. That’s not an memory wall you see , that’s a photo gallery , memory wall means a entirely different thing. We are not trying to achieve that here . Your choice of work can be different but as a designer I stand for what I did , the space looks absolutely gorgeous and exactly as Rohit wanted . We both are happy with the outcome ❤️

I agree with the height of the chair too, and the fact that it touched the sofa next to it..there should be atleast be some gap between the two so when you are seated your legs won't touch the other person's leg seated on the sofa. Space planning is very important in confined spaces. What I liked about it is the tones for a minimalist look were on point.

Hi Ananya, I am a practicing Architect & Interior stylist. I really love how you have created a Niche for yourself in this dieing industry. As a lot of your fanbase are laymen’s, they won’t understand the mistakes you have made in this video in terms of basics like Proportions of furniture, choices of artifacts, etc. Please have a proper planning of processes before you take up more projects in future! Hey pooja , I can speak for this project as it was planned as per the space . By Proportion of furniture you meant high back chair and the two seater !! It was well planned as we had the requirement , artefacts again was what I absolutely stand for. I know this project is not a “ regular project “ but that is what I wanted !! Previously you have seen me combining two different styles and now this , KZfaq has given me a space to explore and I am going to do the same in future . I hope as a fellow artist you will understand this .

Hey @poojarc i am also an Architect and i want to say design can not be predefined it can be explored, most of our projects which we thought perfect after handover to the clients, they may change something according to their need and how they feel or how this is going to be used. #userfriendly. So @interiormaata has her own style she designs for the people not as standrad which is written somewhere by someone.

Very good minimalist and easily changeable decor.... that is what Indian interior designers should look for... dust and humidity don’t help things in Mumbai .... changing the upholstery or soft furnishings would be so easy ... as would be the minimal but effective wall decor. The negative space left for dance rehearsals is ideal! Great job Ananya!

You know everything was nice... just 2 observations... ...1. the moon corner was great just the corner table which u placed on the left side of the high chair cud have been in between the the high chair and the sofa... that way the corner decor would be more visible too...and 2. as a bachelor he might like the rooms to be dark so you cud have kept the dark curtains on either sides and just added the light curtains in the centre that would break the monotony ... just my opinion...

Hi Ananya.. the interiors is really good.. and I am a fan of your videos... Just one observation on the name De- Dazzle... generally when we use 'De- ' with a word it provides a negative connotation to the word 'dazzle' for example de-clutter means removing the clutter ... Similarly De- dazzle would mean making it not dazzle which I am sure is not what you are looking for.... I feel a better word would be Bedazzle which means... Impressing or stunning... Just an observation but again it's your channel you can have it however you want 😀.... All the best for your future videos!!
