Today I'm getting my house ready with fall decor and will show you the whole nuts tradition I have every year around this time.
I will also talk about why I don't like halloween and why I'm saying NO to halloween.

I like the nut idea! And fall is my favorite season- love your decor! 🎃 🍁🍂🧡💛❤️ I agree with your thoughts on Halloween. I'm not into Halloween either- very commercialized and I don't feel comfortable celebrating gore and violence... No judgement to those that enjoy Halloween tho! And I 100% understand it being fun for kiddos! I enjoyed it as a child... I loved the surprise kitty friend that was revealed at the end waiting for her toys to play with from the pumpkin bowl of nuts! 😆

Beautiful fall decoration 😍 Here in Sweden Halloween is quite new. People here didn't start to celebrate Halloween until 1990s.

I just love your house, so beautiful! You have a great taste. I can see how you feel about Halloween, I think it's certainly more popular here in the U.S than anywhere else. Of course it's always been about marketing and making money for businesses, but I think it's gotten a bit out of control these days. Funny, my grandparents on my Dad's side, Italian of course, always had a bowl of nuts when they played cards with friends or just had a get together. Definitely more popular in decades past...nice to see you keeping up the tradition! Oreo say hi! (Meow). 🙂

Thank you so much for your comment. I appreciate it a lot! Less is more in my book! I'm so thankful you shared about your Italian family, I grew up around the table (seating for hours at the table,) talking and eating. Nuts were and are still a part of that traditional setting.

Love the nuts idea! I have all kinds of nuts and seeds in my house, but they are all shelled. I should try it this way, too. I completely understand how you feel about Halloween, but, just like you, I didn't grow up in the U.S. I do like some spooky movies and shows though, not the gore (hence, I never watch slasher movies), but the mystery part. Let's hope these are the last hot days this year so we can enjoy our beautiful (temperature wise) autumn.

Thank you so much Olya! The nuts in their shell makes it more difficult to over eat. You have to put work into it, not just take a bunch of nuts in one pinch 😅 I sure hope our fall temperatures come soon too!

Molt bona idea les anous i la decoració. En quant a lo demès... són tradicions. Halloween és una tradició americana, que s'ha expandit a bona part del món. Aquí també tenim tradicions com el Carnaval o els Reis Mags (que per cert, també dónen caramels als nens). La cultura de cada lloc del món és diferent.

Oh wow such cutie pumpkin and it’s so nice to see that halloween is being celebrated so much in your country. In the Philippines it’s only celebrated with pumpkins and decors probably in the city , this tradition of yours I wish I had when I was young. And may I know where did you grow up, not in the US but where? Take care beautiful ❤
