Hi Marieka! I have the same printer and I agree it’s great. Which pdf program do you use to save and print your good and beautiful curriculum? The reason I ask is I’ve had trouble opening and printing a couple of the pdfs from various levels. Thanks! Another great video 😁

Thanks for watching! I use Adobe Acrobat Reader and I don't think that I have had any problem with that. My hubby is a tech wiz though so any time I do have trouble he sorts things out for me 😊

Thank you for this video, it’s really helpful! How many hours per day would you spend homeschooling roughly?

You are welcome, I am glad that you found it helpful. Hours per day depends on the child's age, my high schooler will spend more time than my year two kiddo. My high schooler will spend no more than 3 hours, my year 6 and 4 kiddos will do about 2 hours and my grade 2 will do 1 and a half hours

Thanks for this video Marieka! I'm using Story of the World for my six year old and she loves it. We've been learning about Ancient Egypt. Do you read everything in order from the book or choose whatever topics you prefer? I was thinking of doing Ancient Greece after this but was wondering whether I should read everything in order instead of jumping to another topic. I'd love some tips/advice as this is my first time using this book ☺

We love Story of the World. You can flip around the book if you like but I do prefer to go in order, I find it helps to put everything together in a timeline in our minds better that way. Sometimes I might skip a few of the stories but I don't jump around. I will read a chapter to my children and then I have them narrate back to me what they remembered form the story. This helps to see if they have learnt anything from me reading aloud and I can correct any misinterpretations and add in anything else they may have missed. Then sometimes (not every-time we read a chapter but maybe every second or third time) we then watch some youtube videos to go along with what we have read, we will do a note booking page so we may do some dictation, they can draw some pictures and write some sentences of their own about what hey have learnt.
