I having a little jones fracture ,i walk without cast and boot but with hiking shoes and go virtual cycling with basketball shoes , i have no pain...it must heel faster this way because off the bloodflow and i put ice on it take vitamines D3 .iam now 2,5 weeks i will give an update about healing. It was only a small crack in the bone , After 4 weeks I could walk normally again, but I was careful with uneven ground. Now months later I no longer have any problems with my foot.

I am glad to hear this my podiatrist never told me name of bone that I broke but after watching numerous videos I think it is this Jones fracture and sure enough he put me in a walking boot and sent me on my way...I got an even up right away which helped so much and 3 weeks later on follow up he showed me it was healing and prescribed some calcium and vitamin d pills. I am currently on week 5 and honestly it doesn't hurt much so we shall see what xray says next week Wednesday!

Can anyone help me i have 5 metatarsal avulsion bone fracture. Can I walk with shoes and ankle wear.

Thanks for this informative video. I am currently in moonboot in 7th week of my Jones fracture, it’s minimally displaced and unchanged position. Do you think it will heal in further 4 weeks of immobilisation. Thanks if you get this message

Where are these studies? My Dr. Said don’t walk on the fracture.

Does the boot help healing or just to alleviate pain?

Ive had a Jones fracture since October. In a boot for 2 months so far by the end of January no results what-so-ever....... We are not amused.
