this scene has very deep meaning. the one who was playing a piano was ROSEANNE, a trainee who is really working hard on reaching her dreams to get high, and the one who is watching her is ROSÉ, the one who worked all her life just to get high on where is right now but she realized that in reality, everything she need was on the ground.

That one scene where she is looking at herself playing the piano is the 24 year old Rosé talking to her 16 year old trainee self & she’s telling her that she has worked her whole life to be on top, to be known, to achieve great things - but realizing what matters most is what’s already there (family, friends, loved ones). This song is such a masterpiece! ❤❤

I love this song. Rosé is not just telling her personal story, but her members as well and all the K-Pop artists who debuted and rose to fame now. Even an ordinary person can literally relate to this. Thank you Rosé for giving us this song. This is a relief, very meaningful and no filter. Teddy was right when he said that Rosé compositions is like a diary to her. She may not written the whole song, but she did come up with the concept and the message of the song. Even the small details and writings on the walls was made by her. Even the quotations.

She is talking about the time when she was craving for something higher but in the end she figured out that the thing she loved most and wanted was before her eyes she is emplying that her trainee days made her forget what she loved bc it was all competition back than for who win but reality was not even after wining she didn't get the chance to do the thing she love that what she and blackpink members are facing right now with the limit comeback and music creativity restriction So she is telling us not to make the same mistake as her Plz like this so all people understand the message

I disagree because if she would not have joined BLACKPINK prob Rosé wouldn’t have had a chance to show her talent to the world. There’s tons of talented and skilled singers out there but are unable to showcase their talents. I don’t think she is even trying to say she regrets joining BLACKPINK or YGE because even with the lack of comebacks look at BLACKPINK being the biggest girl group in the world and the restriction of music creativity that’s also an assumption because look at Rosé being credited for her work on this song. I think you totally misunderstood her message with her song. She’s telling us that even tho people will uplift you and put you on pedestal like it usually happens for celebs the reality is that she realized she needs to stay on the ground and not let fame get to her head and forget where she comes from and the start of her dreams.

로제가 그네타는 장면은 아마 옛날 영화 터미네이터의 시작장면에 인류가 멸망하던 장면에 아이가 그네타던 장면 연상시키네요. 첫장면에 폭탄 떨어지고 이것저것 파괴되는 곳에서 그네를 타고 마지막에 꽃으로 다시 태어나는 것이.... everything I need is on the ground 라는 가사와 함께... 왠지 환경파괴와 지구에 대한 메세지 같단 생각이 드네요. 다시 꽃처럼 아름다운 지구를 되살리잔 것 같네요. 어린친구들은 터미네이터를 안보셨겠죠. 아마 로제 때문에 찾아보게 되지 않읆가 샆네요.

I really love how emotional the song is and the theme Rose is portraying. It sounds like she's singing about an old love or past love when in reality she's really singing to her younger self. She mentioned how the song symbolizes her looking back at her old self and comparing it to who she is and where she is now. The "On the Ground" part is kind of an implication as to her humbleness and her settlement of realizing where she came from and remembering what made her ROSE. The Piano "for example" is her now self looking back at her old self (just the same old ROSE who loves playing the piano happily where life was also simple). The song is fantastically written. So proud of ROSE. Thank you for supporting her! 💖

I LOVED your reaction!! I’ve been watching it all night and all day. It was different but epic, there wasn’t a second of the MV that I didn’t love, every part was amazing! She shined throughout and did something unique she was able to combine country/rock/pop into one song. I was blown away by this song and it’s officially my FAVORITE song and MV!!!
