This game had no marketing whatsoever. They released a trailer at the end of the game awards and a launch trailer on the day the game was released. That's it.

I imagine they were planning on using the hype behind F9 to market it. Then COVID led to a year-long delay of the movie so they just threw it out there to get it over with.

I felt the exact same way watching yours! I wrote this in a vacuum doing my best to avoid coverage so it was interesting to come out seeing where everyone was at with it

i love this review of this game: "Fast and Furious Crossroads is easily the best game I have ever played. I recently went on my honeymoon with my supermodel wife, and have experienced less pleasure in that entire week than in the 4 hours I played in FFC. I still wake up, sweating profusely, as the intensity from this game has invaded my mind and taken over every mental function I possess. I can still feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, so much so that I have accidentally destroyed most of my possessions from the raw strength its provides. I have placed 1st in hundreds of competitions throughout my life, from junior jujitsu to rocket engineering, and it still doesnt compare to the accomplishment of defeating the final boss. I've turned to drugs to try and replicate the ecstasy I have felt in those several moments of gameplay, and it only ended in disappointment."

Bro, the beauty of the Fast and Furious franchise, is that they _always_ play it straight. Something I hated about the Expendables films, is that they wanted too badly to be in on the joke. In F&F, the filmmakers know that what they're making is silly, but they don't wink-and-nod at the audience the whole time. Instead, they just have fun with this zany world that these characters inhabit. Just consider the fact that the team went from boosting electronics, to becoming international criminals, and finally saving the world.

Yeah, they play it TOO straight though in the later films. To the point where it feels like I'm watching a big cheesy bravado-fest. That fight with Dwayne vs Diesel in the barrios was ridiculously corny specifically because both actors decided to put in their contract clauses of not taking any serious losses in their fights. Watch every run in they've ever had. Neither of them ever get a one-up on another, they just stalemate each other. Once or twice, fine, but not carrying on through multiple films. I'd like to see them come back to storytelling like 2F2F. That mooviie still feels like a summer blockbuster that just came out.

LMAO how'd they get 3 (5?) big name actors in the game baffles me. Maybe they spent all their budget there. If it's on PC I might just buy it if it reaches those 10/20€ you say hahahhaa. I'm still gonna watch F9 no matter what happens in it (i think Dom's like brainwashed and/or has an evil brother who is John Cena? and there's like a helicopter jump crash with cars involved or something) so I'm probably the target audience to this game as well. I got this video's notification while watching Fast And Furious Tokyo Drift so I'm looking forward to driving a Datsun

Going by the Steam reviews, the PC Port is, as you'd probably expect, awful, with no way to change the keybinds for anything and it apparently doesn't even tell you what they are, with it fully expecting you to use a controller; some people even say there are no keyboard controls at all. You should probably make sure you have a controller and, to be perfectly honestly, probably just shouldn't buy the game, I feel like watching the cutscenes on KZfaq would get you most of the same fun.

We just have to take what we can get. It's great that it's in a game like this one tbh. The kind of people who watch the F&F movies and play these games are the ones who need it demonstrated to them the most. Having played this game I almost entirely agree with you. Something that stood out to me tho was after one mission, the cutscene ends with Dom going “I’m gonna find a race” and he just disappears until the next mission

It's a shame because without the grindy multiplayer achievements/9 player requirement, this would be a great rental game to get an easy 1000 gamerscore or platinum trophy. Movie tie-in games used to be really good for that lmao.

I would rather see someone point out the positives of a trashy game than simply trash it any day, this is one of the reasons I've been enjoying your channel. There are allready too many channels out there who make their living by bad mouthing games, while thinking they are beeing funny and clever. It gets old really fast, but those exagerated childish opinions are what get views on the platform I guess. imo, seeing the good even in a "bad" piece of work has way more value.

That voice chat really took me back. This game's flaws would surely be easier to overlook if it wasn't a full-priced release. On another note, I'd love to see a review of the Wii version of Driver: San Francisco sometime. I've heard it's completely different than the PC/PS3/360 versions and was always curious about it.

This is the only not completely negative review of this game I've seen. You did a really good job showcasing some of the things this game does well mixed in with all of the crapulence. Like don't get me wrong it's still a shit game and SMS should be ashamed of themselves for making it, but you've shown me there are at least a few redeeming qualities, as small as they may be.

10:28 I think they were expecting you to go directly to the checkpoint instead of cutting through. But put a trigger point that reaches that far out anyway and put you back on track. I don't think it's a glitch so much as they want you to follow that path. At least that's what it looks like considering you get put down right in front of a checkpoint.

This game is honestly worse than Ride to Hell Retribution because it costs full price and was made by a respected studio while Ride to Hell was a once cancelled quickly jumbled together mess that had no chance to be good.

I was wondering what bothered me so much about this game, and my dumb ass just realized it's a driving game with no speedometer nor minimap, and, by the looks of it, not even an "inside the car" camera.
