Best way to get exposure and mentoring is through local rock clubs. That's how we got started.

Did I meet you a couple years ago? End of season, 11pm at the base of the 4x4 road. I was in a beige 1500Longbed. You asked if I was okay. I had just walked off the side of Antero to the cascade campground. You asked me if I found any aqua. You said you had just found some. You told me about the Antero escalator. I told you of my 1,000’s of foot descent down the moraines and couloirs. You offered me a job next season, probably because of my story. Your truck was memorable. I said something about the amazement I had that you drove that stock truck up there. Anyway. Great video, great memories, does the job offer still stand? :)

Watch as many videos and read as much as you can, before you go out.

Make sure you're physically fit. And dont get discouraged if you find nothing -- that's the norm. It takes lots of time and investment to get into the good stuff. However, you can get lucky. Luck is always a factor.

Couldn’t agree more. As a hiker who frequents that area and 14er’s in CO, I found that very disturbing and thoughtless. He can really hurt someone.

I kind of wish they never sensationalized Antero. It is not a place that a person with out mountian expierence should even consider going. Its very easy to die. with evey idiot and his freind bob going there now it is even more dangerous.
