why rating? it's different that's all- I've heard 'Everyday is Halloween' live acoustic- then I discovered from which time it is- amazing song- but I don't listen this kind of music- don't get me wrong - Bowie, Michael Jackson....., I listen some- not all that stuff - it's not prejudice, even know that was the time when punks and metalheads were in war ( not even close like rap game-rs) and nobody knows bands like Killing Joke... and I always remind me what Lemmy was saying in the end of every koncert- "WE are MOTORHEAD, and WE play ROCK'n' ROLL !!!! ".........

Yes, she does sound great. It's a shame Al hates this album. I come back to this song many times 'cause her performance is outstanding, not to mention it's a really good funky tune of early Ministry! This is not Shay Jones, like others have commented. Shay Jones was the co-writter with Jourgensen and backup vocalist on this album - With Sympathy. She toured with them in '83, but subsequently, left the group during its tour of the release of this album. Yvonne Gage joined the tour to fill in as the vocalist for Shay Jones in late '83 into '84. Yvonne Gage around this time and a few years prior, had already put out some singles, a couple of EPs and had 1 album out in 1984. Here is some of her work from around this time period. IF he would realize the fact that ppl like this stuff, he could due a full tour of With Sympathy as a full album tour and sell out small clubs at a city or 2 in every state. Any of his early stuff as a "tour" would sell out instantly. The newer stuff.....nobody cares about it. Its burnt out completely. Also you would not stop rabid fans from a "twitch" album tour or a "LORH" album tour. I would be the first in line. That era was the absolute best work by Ministry although i am a fan of all their stuff. Its too bad he is "embarassed" by this early work. It is fantastic.

Around this time and a few years prior, she had already put out some singles, a couple of EPs and had 1 album out in 1984. Damn shame Al hates this album! It's a very good and unique album. I read an interview about 10 years ago with Jourgensen that the record label Arista forced him to record this genre of play, or they wouldn't sign him. That he had absolutely nothing to do with this album other than his voice and face. No lyrical writing, musical composition, was forced to cut his hair and had clothing bought for him. That he is the way he is in present day solely due to his rebellion of that album. Supposedly, he was having a hard time finding sponsorship to a label and went along with it to earn some money from Arista, then left and joined Sire Records to record - Twitch, soon thereafter, who allowed him to record his particular brand of music. Although I'm sure there is some truth to his admission, I truly doubt that he had absolutely no involvement whatsoever with the substance of this album. I also speculate he is just embarrassed of this version of himself as well, because he wants his fans to believe he's a true hardcore, industrial bad-ass and it may hinder his image and industrialized style of Ministry, which does not seem to be the case at all with many of his fans who also admire this album. It was the 80s, New wave, Dark wave, Synthwave/pop was in, and this album is great! Here is some of Yvonne Gage's work from around this time period of 1984. Enjoy! ✌️😎🤟 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r8pkmZOhztmcdJ8.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bM6mgdKCqse4n6c.html

It’s obvious many of you need to be updated. Al did say negative things after this record came out, many close to him and involved in the making of this album disputing his claims of having harder songs that were left off and eventually included on LORAH. But even Ian Mackaye stated Al didn’t get into hardcore until after this album. He was just trying to make the next step into harder music and thought at the time that disowning this record would give him more credibility in that genre. However Al has since made peace with the album and admits it was and is a very important part of his discography and career and has even stated he will be doing a remake of it. If you haven’t yet, check out the reworking of “Every Day is Halloween” he did with Dave Navarro and others.
