Minka Kelly Discusses Her Role In DC Universe's "Titans"

"Titans" follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and a team of heroes. Minka Kelly stopped by BUILD to talk about her role as Dawn Granger on the DC Universe series.

Minka is a sweetheart! I know nothing about the character of Dove but I’ve really enjoyed what I have seen so far.

She's great and she has the most pleasing voice I have ever heard. I'm loving Titans and I'm really enjoying her as Dawn/Dove. My only critique of her in this video is that she doesn't have to be so worried/defensive about having not been a comic reader or knowledgeable in that department. I feel like the days in which fans were upset that actors weren't fans of the source material are long gone. Just don't be ignorant/negative about the source material and the fans will have your back 100%.

She's the perfect Dove.. she's strong, fierce, vulnerable but most importantly she cools Hawk's tendency to anger. That's in the comics and Minka Kelly get it so good.

8:00 Where she talks about her physical training for the role let me tell you it paid off perfectly it shows in episode 9 title (Hank and Dawn) she is quite strong looking to lay out dudes.

Titans is awesome. i like Jasons character when he is like borderline psycho makes me laugh, they aint messing about with the show. its brutal how him and Dick beat the sxxx out of criminals. the show is violent but yeah tv show.. its awesome, i love comic story lines.. this one is dark like if you seen Watchmen the film then you'll like Titans. Minka i like that playing dove she is like a dove/angel beautiful super hero vigilante.

I think the original teen titans comics are way darker than this show... Hey, remember that time when deathstroke had a long sexual relationship with a 15 years old superhero, and made her infiltrate the Titans and destroy them from the inside..?? Or when the other titans used to have to stop Starfire from killing the bad guys all the time ?? xDxD

Would have been a way better Starfire than that skinny Oprah. Not racist, Minka just look way more like Starfire, face and skin is way closer. Starfire is not literally rainbow orange, its a figure of speech like how Whites aren't literally White, Blacks aren't literally Black, etc. Starfire skin is closest to Brown or olive.

@@matthewavila2511 what's so funny about olive? It's a legit term describing Whites who are more naturally tanned. Usually Mediterranean Whites like Italians, Greeks, etc.
