Great video, I have the Classic 35 and I love it. I am 5 feet 8 inches and feel that it is a good size for me, aside from my SLG; I carry 2 water bottles and an ipad mini. Ultimately I would like a 25, 30 and 40. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Minks~ I totally agree! I wish I could go back in time and gotten the 30 first instead of the 35. My thoughts at the time was bigger is better when selecting the size, but after carrying it around its bulky. I later got a 30 and was thrilled with the size. What even amazes me is a few years after that I came across a 25 and its probably my favorite out of all the speedys! I would had never believed it as I'm a big bag gal,but when I started carrying it I fell in love with the size. :)

Completely agree with you I have the damier ebene in 35 and I chose that size because I needed to carry extra things for my kids but now that my daughter is potty trained I think I need a speedy 30 in azur for summer:)

I had the 35 and loved it but it was so big and I kept saying that I wish I had the 30. SO..I got the 30..keep in mind I ordered online and didn't see them in person prior. The size of the 30 seemed small to me..the size may not seem drastic but they really are! It's day 2 of my 30 and it's growing on me. The 30 is in reality a good size satchel that is great for everyday use.

You mentioned bottom shapers in your video, have you ever used them in your LVs or know of anyone that has and what your thoughts are on using them? Also what are your thoughts on the classic Speedy 30 versus the Speedy Bandouliere 30? I have been saving for a while and I'm between these two and not sure for my first LV purchase

I've been telling myself that I will get the 35 because there's a $50 difference, might as well but with all the videos that I've been watching, 30 seems to be more preferred. Now, I know you don't use a shaper /organizer input handbags, do you think putting an organizer in a 35 would "fill-in" the extra space? Thanks again for review and comparison.

Agree 100% with the points! The Sp30 is more than adequate. I go for my 35 on my monster commute or travel. I really feel like you don't miss out on too much if you go with the 30. Everything is tight and compact. Feels so ladylike. Thanks for sharing.

Good vid minks4all. I have the exact bag Azur 30 and I too LVoe everything organized in my bag. Even when I set it down I have to organize it. My friend has the 35 and I didnt like the sagging. Now waiting for my Ebene Zippy coin purse

I totally agree with you 100% on the Speedy 30. Thank God I did my research before buying my speedy, I nearly went for the 35 cos i wanted to carry my small laptop in it plus its only $20 difference, but i opt for the 30 and I'm inlove with it. I'm a bag lady, meaning I carry lot of junk in my purse but the speedy 30 has so much space and it holds lot of things. Thanks for the review.

I am looking to purchase a pre-loved Damier Azur 35 for travelling. I have a 9 year old Damier Ebene Saleya & it's held up so well so far! I am 5'2 so I am worried that the DA 35 will look huge one me >.< but it will be a fantastic overnight bag! Thank you for the informative review!

I started out with a Mono Speedy B 30, the bag looked small initially so I left it in the box. I went out and bought a Speedy B 35 in Mono & DE. Been using the DE all fall & winter. I do prefer the larger opening on the 35. I should break out my 30 & start using her and get her patina going.

I have the 30 and thought about why not get the 35 but the SA advise me to load my items inside to see which one I liked & Bingo the 30 WON....lol I had mines about 6 yrs now. Still looks Fabulous.

Love your comparison, I have to agree with the for me the 30 is the best size and all my Speedy's are a 30. I tried the 35 but it looked too big on me. I also favor the Speedy B over the classic Speedy, love the option of a strap when needed. Love your video's! :-)

Just found your video. I have the NF MM DE and am looking for a matching weekend travel companion. Thinking the classic Speedy 35 DE might work as I wouldnt want two shoulder straps at the same time. I also wish they had the DE Speedy with the lite pink lining for a perfect match to my NF. There is no DE 40 and the 'keep-all 45' significantly jumps in price. Ug.... Decisions, decisions....

Minks Hi! Lovely video. Very informative. Which size is better as a travel purse - speedy b 30 or 35? I have foll. essentials - travel documents pouch i.e. tickets, passports, boarding pass etc.; sarah wallet; 2 iphone pluses; mini pochette (medicines); 6key holder; cles (coins); long champ 3coin purses; pouch carying liquid items; long champ fabric pouch as catchall; wet wipes and tissues. Will it fit? How comfortable are the shoulder strap in Speedy B in DE? Does it dig into your shoulders when bag is stuffed and heavy? As I’m in my 50s, and have weak shoulders, I’m medically adviced against carrying my handbag on my shoulder but its ok if I carry my handbag hand held and crossbody. I’ve seen and read that the leather shoulder straps used in Damier Ebene print canvas are very hard and stiff and don’t break in even after use? Due to comfort of strap I’m inclined for Mono but the delicacy of vachetta strap i.e. no water touching it while travel puts me off. Do u think I should buy Speedy B in DE and buy a bandouliere strap seperately? What is your feedback? Please advice. I will really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi I just bought my first LV piece last night. A monogram speedy 30 for $625. Did I overpay? It's in great condition from '06. Is it normal to have some creasing/ slouchiness ?

I ended up buying the Speedy B in 30. I'm more curvy and thought the 35 would be better and again, thought the price difference would make me opt for the 35. I found that the 35 looked too much like a duffle bag when using the shoulder strap (Which is primarily how I'll carry it day to day). I was so nervous to buy my first LV bag - but I hope I love the Speedy B 30 in damier azure. :)

I tried a 35 in the store and basically the SA explained that the hardware and edging and handles are the same on both so there is a bigger expanse of canvas on 35 so it feels more 'slack' and that the space between handle and edge js greater on 35 so there is more soft canvas to collapse a bit x

Minnie, I need help, please! I ordered a Damier Azur B in size 30. I love the bag but don't know if I'll keep it. I had a 25B a couple of years ago and sold it b/c it was too small for me and I got color transfer and some spots on the leather. I have a Neverfull in DA that I could use for summer, but love the look of the Speedy. I live in Connecticut...so it rains in summer sometimes so I won't be able to use the bag all that much. I'm talking myself out of keeping the bag but it's so lovely. Wondering if I should just get the Classic DA Speedy. What are your thoughts? Maybe DA ia just too fussy for me. Would you use and worry about a DA Speedy B 30? Also, I wear jeans and jean shorts a lot! Do you have some other recommendations for a summer bag? I appreciate your thoughts!!! I traded a brand new Speedy 30 for a French Company Speedy 35, years ago and could not be happier with my decision. For me, the 35 is a wonderful sized bag. I'd love to see a comparison video of a 35 and a 40! I agree with you in that I wish I had collected Speedy bags in additional colors. I've pretty much banned myself from LV as I have more pieces than I will ever carry and I am drawn more to the older, better made LV, in my humble opinion. Nice video! Thanks for sharing.

As always I love your review! Because of your reviews I went into a Chanel store but unfortunately the sale associate would not acknowledge me so I left a little frustrated and went to Prada. I bought my first Prada purse and love it and got a few compliments while at the airport today from other bag lovers! :-) Have you ever owned a Prada purse? If so, what are your thoughts? I will try Chanel again but not at the location I went to; I felt she did not think I would purchase anything...oh well her loss. It kills me that we don't have any Louis Vuitton stores in my city. I'm looking into buying my first LV & I still can't decide what size to get. Only thing I have to compare it to is my Rocco and I'm guessing that would be closer in size to the 35? My Rocco is perfect in size but since it's thicker and less elegant/bulkier it might be really different. I'm pretty scared about going smaller and I know you mentioned that in your video and I felt like you were in my head but I do love that the 30 is more structured. Also, does your iPad have a bulky cover? Is it still a bit difficult to fit it in the 30?

Great video! I agree that the 30 is perfect! I have 3 of the 30 size that's how much I love speedies! My size 35 is my mon mono speedy because I wanted a statement speedy lol! I'm 5'2" so I wanted it for that reason and that it wouldn't be considered fake either since replicas are mostly size 30. A size 25 I have two lol (I told u I love speedies) but definitely as a crossbody! xoxo

sadly louis vuitton change so much :-( i purchase the speedy bandouliere in the damier ebene and the first thing i notice was how thin it was compare to older one i have. so the moment i put something in it, it sagged. i ended up still getting it because i love the idea of having across body bag. when i got home i notice the difference in the color as well. i was a little upset but i tried to ignore it because i really wanted the bag. now it is officially a month since i bought it and i just sold it. i am very upset with louis vuitton changing the quality of the bags. the damier ebene in the bandouliere has more of a yellow undertone then the original brown and it is very noticable. I am officially scared of spending another dollar in the louis vuitton store :-(
