To clarify a mistake I made in this video, the gps is in the motor itself. The heading sensor is basically only useful during the spot lock jog function

I taped my sensor in a couple places to see if it worked better in some positions than the others before drilling any holes. It sits on top of the console in my 24' Pathfinder. It works fine through the plexiglass windshield for the bow mounted Riptide Ulterra.

Thanks for the video. Would you see any issue with connecting the puck to the 12v battery that I run the trolling motor off of? That would be much easier for me with my boat than the main cranking motor.

I see you connected the GPS puck directly to the battery; did you install an in-line switch or is there constant 12v power to the puck. Secondly, what size shaft on your Terrova

How's it shut off if it's directly wired? wouldn't always be drawing a little power if its wired directly to 12v battery

Can I ask: do I just add the two power cables to my battery on top of the cables running out to my fish finder? (Haven’t got a clue about electronics)

The sensor is supposed to be parallel with the keel. It looks like it's angled to the left?

Sp my spot lock on my powe drive turns on then beeps and looses signal idk...would this sensor help it to work again?

I have the ulterra and my heading sensor always blinks red. Its paired and calibrate but always is red?
