Great video. I just wanted to add .that when you remove that speed control part with the magnet be careful cause my piece came out with the magnet.which means there is another magnet under that slide control.so I had to remove that also to get the magnet back on .and the top magnet allingned with the bottom one. bit got mine fixed due to the great video and explanation. Sorry if I'm not as good explaining my end.

Hey great video and I noticed that surface mount for you plag looking for that exact thing as I converted mine to control the foot pedal and I-pilot with a toggle and a manual switch of the plug which this accessory would make very easy.

That white plastic 'bar' in the upper right, near the continuous switch: How can I clean the contact point? Can I take that screw out and clean the two surfaces? I've got so much grit and grime in mine...

Love your channel. I just purchased the Minn Kota Power Drive with Bluetooth enabled from Bass Pro, and on my first trip on the water today, the foot pedal would not allow me to maneuver it, and when I press the button to go forward the motor would stop after about 15-20 seconds… Help if you can with what I can do to resolve these issues. Thank you in Advance. Kyle

I did everything that you did and I’m still having issues. My motor only runs when it hits speeds 8-10. Speeds 1-7 do not move the motor at all. Do you have any other ideas as to why this might be happening? I replaced the control board as well and still having the issue.

That is the only part of my foot pedal that is working properly. The run/on off and the steering is not working. Any suggestions?

My v2 . We got caugh in the rain yesterday an it started acting up. it would not turn to the left then is started to turn 180 degrees and wood not stop unless I held it and it forced it to stop .Got it home and dried it out .After a wile put back together left and right works but it runs all the time.The only way to stop it is to slide the control knob all the way down.Any suggestions would be helpful.thanks

I have an older model with the v1 foot pedal so mine looks a little different.The pedal doesn't move anything. the copilot remote will only turn motor to right- left on remote doesn't turn to left.but does adjust speed. Any tips i should look for? thanks dana

@@keithmoore3800 nope, ended up buying a new one, lol.... took eveything apart, seems like those pins and teeths got worned out , so decided to just get a new one. These new ones looked upgraded too, hopefully it'll last longer then the old ones..... 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I put some feelers gauges in for spacers. Seems to be working for now but I'm with you probably just get a new one. Not bad for $50 on Facebook 70 lbs thrust

We have a 55 lb thrust power drive v2 for a 2002 bayliner capri 185, the problem is that the motor doesn't go over 2mph when we try to troll, the boat weights 2,185 so i was wondering if it need a bigger trolling motor, if you can please help me out i would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

Great video, thanks. Is there a reason that you are using just water to clean the pedal circuit board instead of a contact cleaner?

Thank you for the question. The reason for water is that I didn't want any chemicals to potentially interfere with the circuits. Plus I didn't want my warranty voided if something went wrong.

My foot pedal not working at all. Took it all apart and 2 magnets dropped out. One is half the size of the other. Any chance you know where the larger one goes? Smaller is for speed control I’m guessing. Thanks

Ok according to schematic. The large magnet 1/4 x 1/4 goes under slider speed adjuster. The magnet that is 1/4 x 1/8 goes by foot peddle control assembly.

I tried that but now all i hear is clicking noises. I can still turn normally but i have no thrust power

I would double check your connection to your battery charger. Its possible that either your battery is low or when you are charging your battery the contacts are loose.

I have the same issue, trolling motor shows I have full charge, i can turn side to side, but all i here is a click when i try and move. The propeller doesn't turn... ugh

Terry Heebner I went to bass pro today and asked the power pro mechanics there and they said it could be a faulty contacts under the housing that need to be replaced. Personally I would take the 3 springs off carefully and then take off cover. Then with power on I would check each contact for proper operation. If you have a multimeter I would check to see if there is 12v going to the contacts. If there is and nothing works then I would just replace the contact mechanism that turns unit.

Double check your marine batteries Make sure that they are charging. If you have the fuses not connected correctly you could have been not charging the batteries from the beginning.

I’ve got a similar problem that just occurred over the weekend. The left and right pedal work good but the power button in the middle doesn’t work. The speed roller changes speeds no problem and the trolling motor works fine with it being on automatic. It doesn’t work when I try to use it manually. Would this procedure work for me or would I need to clean another connection point?

Tyler Lee sorry for the long response. This procedure is only to clean the contact for the speed control issues. However I know there is another contact button under the middle power button. There is also the possibility that the sliding button is not making contact when you switch from continuous to manual. I will research this for you and get back to you with more info. Thanks for the question.

So I found out there is a contact button directly underneath the power button that will most likely need to be replaced. The only way to access it is to remove the 3 springs holding the buttons in place. Then it’s just a mattering replacing the contact switch directly under the power button.
