Today we're going on an ice fishing adventure in search of walleye, pike, perch, and crappie. To start the 2024 ice fishing season off strong I thought we would target some different species of fish.

Hopefully it freezes up fast for ya, I’ve been driving 8-10 hours each day to fish and make videos for you guys. No ice by me either so I gotta drive!

A bowfin bit me off on the river at the end of the open water season and stole my $150 fishing lure. I have mixed feelings about them after that 😂😂😂

You gotta drive man, I live in Rochester MN. We have no ice so I’ve been driving 8-10 hour round trips in a day to get these videos filmed. I know not everyone has the time to make a long trip like that but if you have a weekend off I’d recommend heading north. Good ice from Mille lacs and up

I probably would go to Mille lacs if I had the time. But with work it's a little tough to and with my girlfriends work schedule it's a little tough to do stuff like that. But in a few weeks me and her will be going to leeche lake then a few days later I'll be going to devils lake. I hope there's decent ice by the time I get back from devils lake. Keep the videos coming. Just subscribed a few weeks ago. I know you like them crappies and I could recommend a good crappie lake to you in a personal message to try when it all freezes up.

What is the thickness? Looks like 4 inches... You are quite brave to go out there with the shelter. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here in my ice shelter I set up in my back yard to test out a couple things. I'm dreaming when the ice around the TC is at minimum 6 inches before I dare venture out. Seriously, I'm itching so hard to get out.

The majority of the ice was around 4 inches yes. A little bit less than I would like but I knew the night was supposed to be very cold so I wasen’t to worried. I hope you get ice soon and stretch that itch. The fish are waiting for ya!!!

Just wondering why you don't use a second hole for the live to eliminate pulling it?

I hope hop a lot so I’m moving holes every 30 minutes the whole time and I drill around 30 holes before I start fishing, I’d have to drill 60 holes then if I wanted an extra for the livescope. And by the time I fish the honey hole that I will spend a bunch of time fishing and stay there I don’t wanna drill a second hole and spook the fish. I had a second hole at the start of the video but I ended up using that as a dead stick hole later in the video
