Nothing will change no matter what the transactions they make as long as Dean “Never won a playoff series and never will” is coaching. They’ll have a good regular season, he’ll never properly play or develop the prospects, the people that won him regular season games will continue to lose him playoff games. Year after year it has happened for the last decade with the Admirals and Wild, what makes anyone think he will change?

Don't change coaches while playing with a reduced roster. Wow. This roster is gaining experience for the postseason. Adding a couple of blue-chip veterans, we could be lucky and get a back-to-back

@@ditchsurfer2000 Actually, the buyouts go 6 more seasons. The "major" cap hit comes off the books in 2025 which is when the horrendous contracts would've expired.

Man this fan-base is wasted! Be positive, Zuccarello has delivered and has been amazing man for the locker room also. Geez We need veterans also, someone who can guide the youth, I won't be shocked if he even get's A this year!

What the Wild needs is 4 lines that can contribute points every night. Right now it is 97 or bust. Boldy can contribute if he can stay on his skates. Other than that it is a team of very average players at best. The reason the fan base is wasted is because of the past 50 years of hockey failures. Every fan has good reason to believe IF the Wild can even make the playoffs, they will be one and done again. They have not improved the team this year. Just resigned old guys to contracts that pay them too much money for what they are worth.

@@skyhawk4946 - and you forgot why they haven't improved the team?? It's obvious, the buyouts! I trust Bill Guerin and the process, he is doing an amazing job with limited resources! There are plenty of guys out there that are fighting for the badge, give them some cred! The biggest minus in this team is the coach, but they have tried to give him backroom support this year, let's see how it goes. The amount of point we have collected these last couple of years, with the team we had is impressive. Even if you look at it at a historical perspective. :) We should be able to do that, and I have Wild at 4th this year, let's see how it goes. We need to be realistic, even though we all want a cup! I trust Bill's process!

So I stopped watching cartoons and playing with toys, and moved on without complaining about it. It’s ok, you can stop and leave if it’s so painful for you.

Zucc will no longer be with the team if Kaprizov resigns with the Wild. So, in order to keep Kaprizov happy, why resign an aging player who will retire in a couple years? He'll be happy now, but what about when his friend retires? Would have been better to give their younger guys a chance and see if they can build some chemistry with Kaprizov. Yurov and Khusnutdinov are in the last year of their KHL deals. If they come to the Wild next year, those 2 would help convince Kaprizov to stay.

Khusnutdinov pronunciation: hoos-noot-DEE-nuff. When "kh" is together, k is silent. Emphasis is on "di". My fiance is Ukrainian, and I've visited several times. Kharkov, for instance, is pronounced "hark-uff". And no, the vodka brand isn't from there, it's considered trash there as it is everywhere else in the world. :)

The Zucc contract is questionable, but Foligno's new contract is just downright bad for us. 2 years with a NMC also, one of BGs first moves that has me dumbfounded.

Agreed. Zucc is a great player but it’s a wildcard with his age. However, I think his price was pretty good. Foligno is aging, he’s a 3rd-4th line player, doesn’t contribute much at all offensively, and it’s blocking young kids from getting a shot.

Harman still at 1.7 i believe. Salary cap *projected* to go up next year, these small contracts aren't an issue.

@@philreels The Salary cap is determined by the prior year revenue. There is literally no possible way to know, until the season is completely over, what the cap will be next year. Anything you read is merely a projection and not fact.

Man I'm not too hockey smart but even I know the signings today plus the pending Hartman extension are less than ideal and I disagree with them. But I'm also not an NHL GM so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. I will defer to Billy for now. There is much speculation and we should see it play out. Foligno contract tho. Good for him. Honestly. He really is a never quit, never die leader and does all the hard things naturally with a smile on his face. Keep putting in the work bro. 😁

There it is....I not seeing "IN BILLY WE TRUST" guys gushing over these moves... Pretty hard to push the company line here. Get used to what your watching...your gonna see it for 2 more years.. If you watched the Chicago game listening to Bill between periods ...His language was saying, you wont be seeing any of these young guys anytime soon..including Jesper. Sad state of hockey affairs... How are those buyouts looking now??? Kaprizov fear really starting to show its teeth..guess what... no money to spend to help him..Bill played himself into a corner with no options...

Yea a bridge deal where he gets paid decent for 2 years then he is 37 almost 38 and he is already good for his age looking like pavelski. But in 2 years we will be able to sign him for one last year on a team friendly contract bring in another right winger like Boeser then we have a solid first 2 lines of Kaprizov Rossi Zucc, Boldy JEE Boeser or Khusnutdinov

Takes like this are why the audience’s batting average is so low and the home run percentage is so high 😂 Hope you’re right though! And it’s for sure a home run if you are right! I always liked the red jerseys. Not my favorite, but they’re definitely over hated. I’d like to see them bring a variant of them back, maybe less green next time around or incorporate some black into it. Seeing Kirill light it up in those would be sick for sure. This is a big swing for WTD, but I really hope you’re right!

The Wild signed Marcus Foligno to a four-year, $16 million contract. It has an average annual value of $4 million. The 32-year-old is entering the final season of a three-year, $9.3 million contract ($3.1 million AAV) he signed in 2021.

I have been a nhl fan since 1976. I am a Oilers fan and I do watch the wild. The two signings are horrible. If the Wild don't go past the first round of the playoffs. Kiprisov isn't going to resign. I would bet on it. Bill Geurin has no clue how to put a team together and the Wild will not attract any top free Agents.

This signing is an overpay. Zuccarello is fading fast, and he played awful without Kaprizov. Hartman is no superstar, but he played well in the playoffs when almost everyone else slumped. BG will overpay though.
