ive been learning how to play the tuba for a few months now, and have been trying to make my sound more loud. Do you have any tips?

Thanks for reaching out! Heres what I do/think about: -Dont blat. Blatting may sound louder, but it doesnt sound pretty, AND it has been proven by decibel meters to actually not be as loud as a very FULL tone. -Find where the notes “slot” in your instrument. It should be the most resonant part of your horn, and generally the most in-tune. -Think about getting a BIGGER sound, not a louder sound. Always try to make your fullest sound in all ranges and volumes. -Practice crescendos/diminuendos with music you have, long tones, etc. I hope this helps you, happy playing!
