Minor Shirk and its impact on Worship
Shirk occurs when human beings love, trust or fear the creation more than Allaah. In chapter al-Baqarah, of the last revelation, God said: “There are among men those who worship others besides Allaah as equals to Him. They love them as only Allaah should be loved. But those who believe have a stronger love for Allaah.” Qur’aan, 2:165. When these and other similar emotions are directed more strongly toward creation, they cause human beings to disobey God in an effort to please other humans. However, only Allaah deserves a complete human emotional commitment for it is He alone who should be loved and feared over all creation

When the holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) was alive, if Muslims had any problems, they went to the holy Prophet (pbuh&hf) who solved their problems. The holy Prophet is the final prophet. Qur'an is the final revelation, Islam is the final Deen. The question is, what about after the passing away of the holy Prophet? At whose mercy is the Muslim Ummah? Who are the Muslims supposed to refer for guidance and who is supposed to guide them? After the death of the holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), Muslims had two options to seek guidance from. a) Ahlulbayt of the holy Prophet b) Others. Ahlulbayt are those family members of the holy Prophet who grew up in the blessed lap of the holy Prophet (pbuh&hf). Islam, Qur'an, shariah was revealed in their house. The angels descended with blessings, mercy and salutations from Allah in their house. These are the people upon who Muslims are obligated to send their blessings and salutations in their namaz/salat. These are the people about who Allah (swt) Himself testifies of their purity, infallibility and perfection in chapter 33 verse 33. Amongst the ahlulbayt are people like Ali, the gateway to the city of knowledge. Lady of the Light, hazrat Fatimah Zahra, the Princess of the women of paradise, two Princes of the youths of paradise, Imam Hasan and Imam Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). Who can understand Islam, Qur'an, shariah and the sunnah of the holy Prophet better than them? This is why the holy Prophet (pbuh&hf) left behind him the Book of Allah, the holy Qur'an and his ahlulbayt. With the rest, we are not sure of the state of their iman, their source of knowledge and understanding of Islam, Qur'an, shariah, sunnah of the holy Prophet, etc. Today, whatever we know as halal or haram, permissible or impermissible, etc. it all depends upon your source of knowledge. The ahlulbayt acquired their knowledge directly from the holy Prophet and therefore the question of its authenticity does not arise. The four Sunni Imams appeared almost after a century after the holy Prophet passed away. What do you expect to achieve from someone who was not even born during the time of the holy Prophet, let alone seeing him or meeting him?

Assalamu Alaikum Brother! Regarding your first question, where we should seek guidance from if the Prophet (PBUH) is not among us anymore. The answer is rather simple yet complex at the same time The Book that will guide humankind until the day of Judgement is the Qur'an. It is the biggest mercy of Allah (SWT) upon humankind, revealed to the best of creations, the mercy to the worlds Muhammad (PBUH) This is where we seek guidance, and this is the ultimate Truth May Allah (SWT) keep us on the straight path and grant all of us the highest gardens of Firdaus

@@danone9076 Wa Alaykum Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. All Muslims believe that the Book of Allah, the holy Qur'an is the Book of guidance not only for the believers but mankind in general. If this is true then why are Muslims divided into countless sects? Why are Muslims terrorised, victimised by fellow Muslims and why are Muslims Muslims butchered by fellow Muslims? Why are Muslims killed inside the mosques in the state of prayers? The holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his immaculate progeny), did not leave the holy Qur'an alone for our guidance but he also left his holy progeny with it. Muslims believe in One God, one Prophet, one Qur'an. They all pray five times a day, go to hajj, pay zakat and so on. Yet neither our adhan is one nor iqamah, our wudhoo is same nor salat. One wonders why? Is it possible for the holy Prophet to leave this world without appointing anyone as his successor? Is it possible for the holy Prophet to leave the religion of Allah at the hands of the Muslims to take it wherever or whichever they fancy? How come in just fifty years time after the death of the holy Prophet, the worst of creatures, Yazeed bin Mu'awiyyah bin Abi Sufyan becomes the khalifatul Muslimeen and the murderer of the holy Prophet's holy household? Muslims need to wake up from their deep slumber and start studying the history of Islam academically, with an open mind and free of bias. Learn the biographies of personalities like the holy Prophet Muhammad, his beloved daughter Fatima, her husband Ali and their sons Hasan and Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). Look into the following events. Da'wat-e-Zul ashira Mubahila Saqifa Fadak The battle of Jamal The battle of Siffeen The death of Abu Zarr Ghaffari The death of Muhammad bin Abi Bakr The death of Malik bin Nuweira Ashura www.al-islam.org www.imamali.net/?id=2390 Please listen to the beautiful lectures by Syed Mustafa Qazwini, Syed Baqir Qazwini, Syed Mehdi Modarressi on utube. Do not be a victim of prejudice, brainwashing, ignorance and misconceptions.

@@Gulamqambar Yep, the word of Allah is sufficient enough for a mankind to be guided till the end of times, and sunna of the messenger of Allah (PBUH) is the further and proper explanation of Qur'an The muslim nation as a whole is a successor of the Prophet's (PBUH) mission, meaning he delivered the message to us and we should deliver it further to the rest of the world. That's why Allah (SWT) calls us "middle nation" in the Qur'an We do not need to make assumptions and build theories, because novelty in the religion leads to misguidance, and misguidance leads to hellfire May Allah forgive our sins and protect us from the fire of Jahannam

@jeremiahm3026 Muslims ask Allah at least ten times a day in their daily prayers "Guide us towards the right path. The path of those upon whom You have showered Your mercy, peace, blessings and grace; not of those upon whom You sent Your wrath and gone astray" The question is, how are we supposed to know who are the ones upon whom Allah has showered His mercy, peace and blessings? Interestingly, the answer is in the same prayers/namaz/salat. Muslims are commanded to send blessings upon not only the holy Prophet Muhammad alone but also his holy progeny. As a Muslim, have you ever paused for a moment and asked yourself who this progeny of the holy Prophet is upon whom Muslims are commanded to send blessings upon in their daily prayers/namaz/salat? And who are the ones upon whom is Allah's wrath and gone astray? After the death of the holy Prophet, there was a group of people who turned against the flesh and blood of your holy Prophet, usurped their rights, waged wars against them and spilled their blood. They are the ones upon whom is Allah's wrath and gone astray. You need to carry out your own independent and unbiased research into the history of Islam (not of the Muslims). Please carry out your own research into events such as:- Da'wat-e-Zul ashira Mubahila Ghadeer-e-Khum Saqifa Fadak The battle of Jamal The battle of Siffeen The death of Abuzar Ghaffari The death of Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Malik bin Nuweira Ashura The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of Muslims are victims of prejudice, ignorance, misconceptions and misinformation when it comes to the school of the holy ahlulbayt. www.al-islam.org www.imamali.net/?id=2390 Please listen to the beautiful lectures by Syed Mustafa Qazwini Syed Muhammad Baqir Qazwini Syed Mehdi Modarressi on utube

@jeremiahm3026 All the Muslims believe in the holy Qur'an and the sunnah of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his holy progeny). Why are then Muslims divided into countless sects, each calling the other kafir? The H. Prophet (pbuh&hp) said, "After my death, my ummah will be divided into SEVENTYTHREE sects. Of these, only one will go to paradise and all the rest will go to hellfire" Everyone claims that they will go to paradise and all the rest will go to hellfire. Claiming is one thing and proving it is another thing. Imam Abu Hanifa was born 70 years after the passing away of the holy Prophet. After him came the other three so called great imams. How could such people who were neither present during the time of the H. Prophet nor seen him, be a source of knowledge, information and guidance? This is why amongst the four schools of thoughts amongst the Sunnis, there are countless differences of opinion on namaz/salat alone, let alone the rest. How can one be sure that what they are following as the sunnah of the H. Prophet is really and truly the sunnah of the H. Prophet and nothing more or is it something else? Today, we see that those who kill also say "la ilaha illallah, muhammadar rasulullah" and those butchered also say "la ilaha illallah muhammadar rasulullah" One wonders what kind of deen is this? Muslims need to wake up from their deep slumber and start their own independent, academic and unbiased research on Islam. They need to carry out their own unbiased research on events such as:~ Da'wat-e-Zul ashira Mubahila Ghadir-e-Khum Saqifa FadakSiffeen The death of Abuzar Ghaffari The death of Muhammad bin Abi Bakr The death of Malik bin Nuweira Ashura By the way what is the definition of shirk? Do you know what is the difference between Sunnis and Shi'as? Whatever your answer is, is it through your own research or what?
