That he plays Django's solo with two fingers like Django is a great tribute to the master. Bravo Stephane. Brilliant!

I like the use of only the first two fingers just like Django

The first solo is pretty much the solo played by Django on the most famous recording of Minor Swing.

And if u would be blind??
@j.garnergtr2 жыл бұрын
@@wasteyelo1 this is the point. the solo is so iconic that it is treated as the melody, the "head" to the tune.

If Django had use of all his fingers, believe me he would have used all of them

Just saw Stephane and his group at Musikfest in Bethlehem PA. We were fortunate and saw the full 1.5 hour performance. I'd never experienced this type of music before. World Class!!!

Que buen trío. Excelente interpretación. Me gustaron el bajo y la primera guitarra que empieza tocando con dos dedos como Django. Y el otro guitarrista muy bueno acompañando también. Saludos Cordiales desde Argentina.

Stephane, Fanatastic videos. Note-for-note solo. THREE QUESTIONS: 1. What is the dot pick-up on the guitar? 2. Are you going through an amp (AER?) with both pick-up and clip mic? Is the sound we hear straight or has it been processed post production? I love the sound of your guitar tone. How can I acheive that, or must I buy the same model? Thanks!
@paulgibby69326 жыл бұрын
Looks like one of the pickups (the round stick on) might be a Schertler. I guess the mic also picked up some sound. I always thought the Schertlers sounded too much like sound from a shower room. But I think that is counter-acted by the other mic. (disclaimer: just a guess)

Sure looks like fun.....

This was a great version. I love the guitar sound/tone with those pick ups. If anyone knows what the brand is for those pick-ups and mics please let me know. Ans Stephane played the 2 finger note for note, Django solo perfect.Thx for this post.
