great video good stuff on the ounces in stamps and envelopes and wait I always thought I didn't get a return because I didn't put enough stamps I only send two maybe three cards

Well as I said, if you have insufficient postage, you'll get the letter you sent out returned to you and you'll know why it was returned. If you don't get a return, it's probably because they didn't send it back.

Awesome video, thanks for showing the part where the cards go through all of the machines at the post office. Also the information for about how one stamp will almost always work, or just throw a 15 cent stamp for the extra ounce. So much good information in here, I've been wanting to do this for a long time, just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. I think i'll be diving into the TTM world.

Ha, Thanks for warning others about my Will Clark experience.... Do you think some oplayers pick and choose which TTM fans to sign for? I have 100% success rate with players who charge, but for free signers, many of the players with 90% success rates on that web site I have tried at least twice in a few month span with no response. Dennis Rasmussen, Sabo, Reardon, Dusty Baker, Johnny Ray just to name a few.

Do you ever send them in a semi rigid? I've heard some people have gotten the toploader or semi itself signed and sent back lol.

When there is a fee involved, do you send cash along with the request or check/money order?

I always send cash. Stick it in the SASE envelope where I usually put my cards as well. Some guys like Reggie Jackson have a foundation, so I write checks for them.

Great video Chris! I love this hobby. I know you wanna go where the success rates are in this hobby but do you ever send to guys where there's no chance of getting anything back signed or to the megastars of sports like Ken Griffey Jr, Hank Aaron and Derek Jeter? I personally don't since I don't want to waste money on stamps and cards.

I won't send to those guys, that would be a waste. I'll try current players that are tough at the ballpark every now and then.

about a week ago i didnt really know how to do this and I sent out the cards in the non self addressed envelope packed up against my letter and self addressed stamped envelope with 2 sheets of paper in it to try to protect it on the way back with usually about 2-4 cards, so 2-4 cards, 3 sheets of paper and 2 envelopes is that to much for one ounce do ya think? also great vid taught me a lot on how to do this, got my first return a few days ago from Dave Cowens. Very fun hobby! enjoy the sub

Do you find a difference in success rate using the short note that you send, vs sending a longer note?

I have sent longer notes to players Im a big fan of and have noticed no difference, not that I expect a reply on those longer notes but I am sometimes a little disappointed they dont acknowledge something in my note. So short answer, no. :)
