The murder dragons were so scared of melia they started acting like bitches in this game. As evident by how often they step back out of auto attack range or fly away to spam cheap aoe. God I hate how cowardly some of the uniques are in this game.

The biggest mystery in the game is how the heck Bolearis managed to make the engine work by kicking it. It’s not what Noah named his sword, who the heck Riku actually is, or what happened after the ending. It’s how the heck Bolearis managed to start up a VERY high tech piece of equipment by kicking it a bit.

That is what I love about the Xenoblade games, the English VAs are mostly English and Welsh and maybe Irish too? Typical English VAs tend to be American like Sena. Really gives the series their stand alone personality.

@@ominousflames14 that’s the funny thing I noticed, especially in Xenoblade 2. All the drivers have unique English accents around Europe while the Blades themselves have American accents. Just a fun little detail I’ve picked up after years of playing the game. Seems they did the same for 3.

@@ominousflames14 Kevesi (Descendants of the people of Bionis and Mechonis) have predominantly english accents, they just vary in style, like Eunie's which is cockney and Melia's which is posh. Agnians (Descendants of the people of Alrest) have a wider variety of accents, originally the people of Alrest had a different accent depending on their titan, gormotti were welsh, urayans were australian, ardanians were scottish, leftherians were northern english, tantalese and tornans were southern english and both indolines and blades were american; this generally holds true even now that all Agnians are blades with Mio being welsh and Taion being southern, while the more blade-like Agnians such as Sena and Isurd, as well as Teach who is indoline, remain american. Nopon for the most part are english, which is understandable considering they have their own fantasy accent so trying to mix that with another accent would probably be really hard, tough some nopon can sound vaguely irish, particularly the argentum nopon from Xenoblade 2.

Well to be fair, Melia was royalty from the beginning, so it's no surprise that being a queen would come naturally to her.

While she wasn't _royalty_ Nia did start out as a noble. That said, even back then she really didn't care about the etiquette lessons she was given. "He made me study hard, but it was all 'How to be a Proper Lady,' which fork to use... Nothing that's doing me any good now. Just useless shite. ... I hated studying." Maybe Nia shouldn't have slept through those classes.

@@angeldude101 If I know my lore correctly Nia was a normal, but powerful healing blade, that the noble man hired to cure his daughter and the Nia came to see them as her family. So Nia started as a commoner, but was kinda adopted to a noble family. And so she wasn't even a noble from the very start.

@@EmilAhvenainen Nia's default Blade outfit is fairly elegant and such that I could believe that she had other noble driver's in the past. Regardless, while her complete existence would've had several Drivers, some more noble than others, her current life is one that started by being awakened by a noble (lord or lady depends on interpretation). As such, I think it's reasonable to say that Nia "was born to a noble family" since ultimately her current life is the one that matters most. Her previous lives were still a healer Blade named Nia, but they're not "our" Nia, much like how M is not "our" Mio.

It's a bit more messed up than that.

@@Touma_S Well, obivously *this* particular Mio can't be Nia's daughter, but I think Alrestian Mio is. Of course, most of Aionios are copies of their Bionis/Alrest counterparts, so I'm sure Nia still sees her as such. Perhaps we'll know for sure come DLC.

@@Touma_S Yeah, it ultimately depends how many years since the events Xenoblade 1 and 2 the merge happened. I personally don't think it's too far, since Melia, while older, was still young right before the merge. High Entia age 5 times slower, so I don't think the merge could have happened much more than 50 years after the first 2 games. Thus, Mio could also be Nia's granddaughter.

@@theherohartmut Well, Mio is used to the cold. She lived in Colony Omega and Gamma, which both had snow. Nia either lived in Gormott or with Torna, which was in an airship, which is why Nia isn’t used to it like Mio was.

Well, I could say the same about Xeno 2 blades (I’m American). I think it just depends on what your used to hearing. In you case, a Welsh accent would be what your used to, so everything else just sounds different. Am I making any sense?

REX/PYRA/MYTHRA/NIA POLYCULE RIGHTS !!! From the moment I saw the NG+ XC2 title screen, I knew these 4 were canon. Thank you Monolith, and if anyone DARES to call it a harem I will eat their sparking knees !

And it makes sense with Rex’s personality!! All three of his relationships would be too important to him to let go just for one person. THAT’S what makes it great, IMO. It’s not just for the sake of inclusion or representation; it makes sense within the context of the story and characters of Xenoblade 2. That’s what makes it tasteful.

That's why most characters with animal ears typically have hair long enough to cover where the human ears should be. I also believe the concept art for 2 reveals that Nia doesn’t have human ears just the cat ears.
