Alicia is just a completely different level. Laurie is trying to (and thinking she manages to) dominate while in reality Mira is just like from a different universe… unreachable. By “obeying” Mira is even more underlining (unintentionally of course) her immanent and therefore inevitable preeminence.

No so basically, they are exes. Laurie used to be Mira’s assistant and they had a relationship (mainly sexual) but Mira wasn’t monogamous. Mira didn’t think Laurie would care about this because it was mainly a sexual relationship but when Laurie found out, she got hurt and broke up with her. Then they stopped talking and a while after they saw each other in public and got re-connected through work. Laurie decided she wants to take revenge and show her most dominant side, which is why she’s teasing her here, and treats her badly in general. Laurie wasn’t always dominant which is hard to believe lol. They clearly still have feelings but Laurie will never admit that since she has a husband and has too much pride
