Eh, I've done a miracle run myself (not 0 hits tho, hell no...) and it's definitely the crappiest type of magic in the game...might be because it's generally meant for hybrid builds, rather than pure casters, but yeah, the only 2 offensive miracles in the game really worth a shit are Dorhys' Gnawing (for enemies susceptible to bleed) and sunlight spear. Lightning arrow looks awesome, but the damage is kinda meh even with endgame stats. Normal ls does crappy damage, and for great ls you gotta do covenant stuff or hours of farming. It was a sorta fun thing to try, but if you want to make an efficient pure caster, go for sorcery or pyro.

Alvina Meragathium don't discount lightning stake, it's your best option for damage most of NG except maybe dragonslayer armour, where you're kinda forced into WOTG or emit force. I won't argue pure faith casters have a very rough start and less offensive versatility because they don't have dark spells, but the damage is still very good once your stats are pumped up. It's not bad, it just takes too long to reach the point where it starts to feel powerful tbh. Great lightning spear being locked behind lothric castle AND a covenant is retarded, if it was available a bit earlier a full miracle playthrough would go a lot more smoothly.

miracle is my favourite school in ds series, ds2 has the most badass miracles and even tho ds3 doesnt have that much but still, I enjoy miracle more than other school

I remember when this was my first real dive into from soft (had played _some_ demon/dark souls but barely made any progress) and Gundyr whooped my ass way too many times. Was only able to beat him with a pyromancer and that boost nudged me enough to endure the rest of the game. He still has the most kills on me from all sekiro-soulsborne bosses but now I parry him like it's nothing.

The 0.2fp/sec is not worth the loss of extra stamina regen from the grass crest or the maxed casting speed from saint tree bellvine. If anything, use it to regen a tiny bit of FP during down time while you run around, because during fights the regen is so pitiful that it would take the entire boss fight thrice over to regen the large FP bars magic only builds have from putting points into attunement.
