Miracle Hot Springs in Kern County was demolished by United States Forest Service, USDA, CalFire, and the Kern County Sheriff on Thursday October 20, 2022. They were vandalized and then completely destroyed following a man's death the week before. The public still does not know the cause of death, now 21 days after he died. This video shows before and after images.

The truth came out at the meeting held at the hot springs, there was no blood in water, body was only there less than 30 minutes, fire dept was first on scene, witnesses came forth proving all of Ranger Martin’s excuses were lies. But will anyone file a complaint?

And also, what that officer said about there being hep c and HIV in that water is he falsifying information? Because that's illegal. And is he also giving away health records of a private individual that was in the springs? Because that's also illegal. I'm so glad you got this footage.

Still watching this and admiring this mans' attitude, standing up for so many, against bootlickers with lies and excuses. Something is def amiss. People need to stand up to this. It shall not be allowed to go on. This is a very important aspect for the happiness of people. The very constitution states the pursuit of happiness is a right, does it not? These men are supposed to defend that. This belongs to the people. If "cleanup" is an excuse, let the people clean it... but it's not that. Something else is going on. They are using agencies to steal from the people. They are taking over everything. This area seems valuable in other ways. It's for sure magical for a reason. It must return to the people, for their enjoyment, just as it was. I'm gonna share the heck out of this. THIS VIDEO MUST GO VIRAL

The truth of this comes down to one thing.... I have been visiting the Kern for over 20 years. Seeing the decline in this area is beyond sad. The graffiti, the trash. It's unreal. I used to pick up the VERY few pieces of trash or an old rusted can or a bottle that had been there for years and I'd toss it in my backpack. There is so much trash now. Diapers. I saw a dead German shepherd dog last time 10 feet from the road covered with rocks. Most of its body not even covered. Like some sick ceremony.... What I see there just gets uglier and uglier all the time. I've spoke to forestry and I'm sadly with them. Do I think they should have destroyed them. No, but something needs to be done about the entire area. I fear 1 day it will be illegal to even visit the area or there will be so many restrictions you minds well stay in town. I do not understand people can go out in nature and just trash it. I visit another hot spring and same thing. Place used to be pristine. Now I go I find myself picking up other people's crap?? Last time I had the place to myself. It was beautiful. Before I got in I picked up the area. A couple 40 oz bottles. Chip bags. Weed containers. Along one of the most beautiful spots for miles... That day as I was getting dressed forestry walked up on me and had his pad out to ticket me for the bottles when I explained I picked them up and was packing them out...one thing I did notice with this individual is I asked him..hey do you have a trash bag? Since I'd gathered too much to fit in a backpack..he said. No I do not. I said hmmm? Just kinda made me wonder about this individual... He spoke how much he cared. He spoke how he didn't want the area to be closed.. this was not miracle I speak of, once again... Yet forestry doesn't have trash bags. I asked him if he had one in his truck and he also said no?? I mean. If I did the job I'd keep them on hand. It's just kinda an ethics thing to me. I'm not saying they should pick up trash all day but tas you walk by don't walk by trash?? This should be like a thing they learn day 1 to me

I can’t argue with any of that. IF we are ever permitted to rebuild, it has to be done with strict regulations, something the ‘locals’ have fought forever. And now they have no Miracle Hot Springs. They are complicit. The litterers are complicit. We need a ‘smarter’ hot springs as someone eloquently said at the Dec 3rd meeting. Cameras. Signs. Internet (so simple to get a StarLink for that area). We could make it very regulated and clean. And we need the people (USFS law enforcement) who destroyed these to help us with their guns and ticket pads.
@jonjonsin824

@@HammerHands hey no cameras though!!! 😂 Yeah I don't have the answer myself. I do know there are almost no trashcans, anywhere along the river. Shouldn't have to have them but it may help a little. I think a few, very large signs warning people of the potential fines and also possibly increase the fine to $2500. It's a harsh punishment but seeing an area change so rapidly it seems we need something drastic. Most of the people I've seen disrespecting these areas are not from Kern county. Most people I've met from this area love the area and many of us try to do our part. I do love it enough to have strict restrictions to preserve it before it gets worse. The graffiti in certain spots.. makes me wonder if I should be there?? Like, am I going to be killed or have my car jacked for being here?? Not playing

@@jonjonsin824 what’s wrong with cameras? That’s how the Amsterdam police do it in the red light district. Only cameras make people behave. I even think a dummy camera mounted to a tree with a blinking red light would stop half the shit that used to happen there. A camera… and a truck in the parking lot with law enforcement in it. Cameras provide evidence. Look at my video right here that allegedly got J Martin reassigned because he broke a HIPPA law talking about HIV and hepatitis. Cameras work. Video evidence holds up in courts. It has to be used, or we will never get the regulations enforced. People can’t be trusted with signs. Cameras? People behave. I don’t mind at all being recorded. I was when J Martin approached me in the video with his body cam running. I may even FOIA that footage.

Why was there still blood on the rocks ? The blood is to be cleaned off of all accessable surfaces and disposed of in accordance with State of California Hazmat Law, by California State Certified HAZMAT Technicians. Failure to do so is punishable by Ca Law and may include Fines and up to 6 months incarceration. The governing party is directly responsible for reporting and assurance of the initiation of Hazmat Clean-Up at the time of the removal of the body. Signage shall be posted to inform the public and eliminate health risks to public citizens. In addition to the above - any deferment of or deviation(s) should be reported to the Internal Affairs Division of the Agency handling the crime/accident scene and Complaints filed to include name and badge/employee serial number of all officers involved at scene. This will remain in personnel file and be made available to public citizens for review as well as any recorded body camera and/or vehicle camera footage by FOIA request. Deviations or tampered footage may be subject to U.S. Federal Law and result in criminal and civil prosecution.

It’s just a tragedy. My video wasn’t about revenge on Officer J Martin, although that is how it has been perceived and he has retaliated against me with two bogus criminal allegations that had me in a federal courthouse to defend myself. It was just about documenting the truth and what we had and now what we don’t have. Officer J Martin is the root cause of this tragedy and he just happened to walk into the video shot. And people are still blaming me for this destruction since it was me that put those sandbags there to help fix the situation. Those are the whacky lies that are rampant.

I’m wondering if they rebuilt🤷🏼‍♂️ Unfortunately urban sprawl has been going crazy since the 80’s. So much trash anymore. In the 90’s I quit hanging out on the lower river and started spending most of the time on the upper river then the urban sprawl hit just as bad up there too. Unfortunately I don’t spend time on the river in the warmer months anymore due to the crowds trash shit and toilet paper and go up to the high country where so far there are not many people yet. Too bad this is happening to such a beautiful and special place

I know I am late to this, but does anyone know if Remington was destroyed as well? Like you all I was truly devastated when I found out Miracle was destroyed. I grew up in Kern County. My dad taught me how to drive on the canyon road. I've helped volunteers drain and scrub and care for these tubs. I moved out of town and when I came back home to visit, intending to soak in our springs, I was shocked to hear that wouldn't be possible any longer. I'm still shocked, confused, upset, sad and looking for answers I guess.

We stayed at the campground in the '90s. The camp host told us we could use the hot springs, but we would have to make our own soaking spot because the USFS tears them down almost immediately. He also told us they may ask us to leave. A ranger came by while we were soaking, was very nice, told us to have fun and left. The camp host later told us that it was a horrible party spot with garbage and broken glass everywhere before the USFS tore everything down. Apparently, they relented, with all the concrete work I see now. This is not a new problem. I also read that this was the 4th death there in 2022.

My thoughts on this. Please respect the law enforcement rangers because they just want to protect the public. Also rangers please allow people to soak in these wonderful natural healing waters. These wonders of nature should be available for all to experience. Please don’t shut them down for the few who disrespect nature by leaving trash, etc. If people want to take risks soaking in these waters, let them. The high heat and sulphur content likely kills any harmful pathogens.

Typical reality by California law enforcers. Governments and, hence, all the government workers are corporate. Get better informed about legal vs. lawful. If any 'law' enforcer tries to get you to 'understand' the 'law', you always reply "I do not stand under your authority". Don't ever agree with them. The law was never taught to Americans; the legal system was briefly taught.

Governor has no jurisdiction over US Forest Service land, that's federal. And they were doing lots of things you'd disagree with during St. Trump's reign as well (not to mention Bush43, Bush41, and Reagan). The systematic de-funding of the federal government since the early 80s is the root of all these problems, because federal agencies do not have the resources to even do what Congress legally requires them to do at this point... because Republicans keep screaming for more and more cuts, and voters who know nothing about land management (or government in general) love sticking it to the government and federal workers. It's funny that you'd criticize the state government for something they have no control over as a result of you literally not having the first idea of how the government works. The state government and the federal government are two different things, especially in the area of land management. Gavin Newsom and the CA state government have no jurisdiction or responsibility whatsoever over any NPS, USFS, or BLM lands. You equate government in California with "Democrats" or "Libs" and have an instantaneous reaction, and fart out stupidity online for us to read. Your opinion is uninformed and reactionary, and is not useful to share. You don't know what you're talking about, and your gut instinct is damaging to the government anyway. You have nothing of value to offer to this conversation.

People die all the time in national forests but we don’t close them. Eleven people died in the Grand Canyon last year alone. Let’s petition to have it closed since it’s so dangerous.
