Outside all the obvious things, one thing that I found truly memorable about this film was the friendship among those 4 guys.

I always loved Casey's character here, smallest yet meanest of the bunch, but also a good wingman. "I swallowed a bug."

This whole movie is about learning to take on risk. Notice that Will didn't ask her out in 45 minutes and she had to ask him. It is foreshadowing for the rest of the story.

"How do you like them apples?” is an expression that supposedly originated during the first World War, when the Allies' anti-tank grenade was colloquially called a “toffee apple” because of its bulb-like appearance on a stick. The phrase was a taunt against the enemy.
