The black cadillac is symbolic of being at a crossroads and shes sold her soul for her vice. Its a reference to an old country song about hank Williams his spirit wanders driving a old long black cadillac

The problem is that the real good country music doesn't get as much play on the radio (even the goat of country Chris Stapleton) for some insane reason so people that don't think they like country music will continue believing they don't like it unlike people who do love it and will actively search the good country music out...BUT thanks to you two more people like and appreciate country more than they thought they ever would and the same goes for all genres of music, music in general is more appreciated now that you two are on the scene and by golly I appreciate you two for that

So true. Nashville is a machine that pumps out fre-fab formulaic music to a handful of "stars." And the real problem is that Nashville has a stranglehold on country radio. You can drive across the entire United States and hear the same 5 songs the entire way. Good country- REAL country- is only found these days on streaming services like pandora, etc and youtube. But it is out there!
@anthonyyohman6 жыл бұрын
Lori McKinney My problem with a lot of new country is it sounds like hip hop with a banjo. The newer artists I like are a very small group. I really like Chris Higbee, and Juvenile characteristics. I've met them, and my wife, and Chris's wife talk now, and then. His biggest hits are Write me which he wrote for his wife while she was in Afghanistan, and Angry American which he rereleased on election night while he was playing locally.

To me, this is a perfect song. The lyrics are so well written, honest and real. She lives this song and you can here it in the delivery of her beyond incredible vocals. From the ornamental sound effects that keep this from being another traditional country ballad, to the guitar solos, to the backing harmonies, to the low driving beat, the instrumentation is flawless. This is a classic, and it's perfect. Unfortunately, in her life now, Miranda is crawling from another crash as of this week. Really hope she pulls it together and rises above again. We need musicians like her to keep on, and she deserves some peace.

Kudos guys- y'all are so entertaining too...What really thrills me is how you get people who just automatically hate country music to give it a chance, and there is some really great country music out there...One thing though, you have to look at the video with the mindset that this was the first song/video she did right after her marriage ended, so a whole lot of the symbolism in the video had to do with that: her waking up after the wreck of her marriage, her having to find something to numb the pain, etc... I'm also pretty sure her getting in the back of the driverless car shows she has no control over her life or what's happening or where she'll end up...thanks guys, y'all are awesome
