I lost my brother to cancer in the march of 2014, his name was Ashoor. I listened to this kalaam in the initial days of Muharram. It brought out the everlasting pain back to surface. I then could not dare to listen it again. This is the second time I am listening this kalaam again. Now it is me, a commoner, a slave of Maula Imam Hussain Alaihissalaam and Maula Abbas Alaihissalaam lamenting the loss of my brother, who too was a commoner and a slave of Maula Imam Hussain Alaihissalaam and Maula Abbas Alaihissalaam. It is out of bounds for commoners like us to even imagine the pain that our master Maula Imam E Hussain Alahissalaam had to endure while sitting beside the dying lion, Qamr -e -bani- Hashim - Maula Abul Fadhl Abbas Alaihissalaam. It send my spine to shivers imagining it and my heart sinks when I even attempt to do so. Maula Imam Hussain (A.S) and the day of Ashoor and the holy companions of Shaheed -e- Aazam shall remain a beacon of enlightenment for the entire humanity till the day of reckoning strikes. May Allah Azz-wa-Jal give us all the opportunity to serve in the ranks of slavery to descendant of Maula Imam Al Hussain. Aameen Ya Rab Al Aalmeen. Heartfelt thanks to Janab Mir Hasan Mir and team.
