sa pagdinig ko rin, impeachable offense includes "betrayal of public trust" which has not been even defined by the SC. the question then roots to, did CJ betray the public trust by not disclosing or omitting huge amount of assets which he admitted? now that we know there are gray parts and loopholes in our constitutions, hopefully, the legislators will have to do something about it. peace :)

It's logic for fairness to Filipinos (to you guys, I'm already a Canadian Citizen since 1997). It's Betrayal of Trust (the logic there..) Not logic for personal, political leverage or dissassociation to voting guilty on her friend..

I remembered voting her at that time she ran for presidency but sad to say she lost due to a very corrupt government. If she run again...I just pray my vote again won't be wasted....

I am happy that Corona was convicted but so intrigue why Miriam voted not guilty. But with a stunning explaination, i am guilty if i would say i didn't salute this brave senator. Job well done Madam Senator!

Ano kaya kung buksan nalang lahat ng accounts ng mga politiko para ma.impeach na sila lahat... pare-pareho lang namang ang mga ginagawa nila.. ang mali lang kay corona ay, pinag.initan sya ni P.noy na magaling na pangulo, wala nang ginawa kundi sisihin ang nakaraang administrasyon.. so, ang punto dito.. dapat ding usisihin ang mga bank accounts and dollar deposits ng ibang mga senador at mga pulitiko na malinis na yan para ma.mulat ang bayad sa ka.gagugan nilang yan!

-hindi ako mag eeglish ng todo baka sabihin ng iba pasosyal:) I was impressed hindi sa paraan ng pagkakadeliver nya ng explanation ng vote nya kundi sa thought ng mga sinabi nya. I admire how she stand up for her conviction. Totoo talaga ang mga sinabi nya. Yan ang nangyayari sa bansa naten masyadong nadadala ng media ang masa, emotion pa mandin ang kahinaan ng tao kaya madaling kumuha ng simpatya ang mga politicians. We need real public servant.

When Santiago plead CJ acquited she explained well the reason behind it.. while other senators decide for their own political career and not for justice. Poor Philippines!

if only u watched the whole impeachment trial u would condemn the philippine president and his allies in politics because of their ignorance in impeachment court proceedings; if not they intently ignored the constitution just to eliminate the former chief justice from power...it is very disappointing. It is clearly an act of disrespect to the people who molded the constitution and the whole philippine citizen.

We need leaders who are willing to stand for their conviction and will change the entire system of government so that this country will achieve economic progress and excellence in global arena.VOTE true public servants who are determined,goal driven and selfless to uplift this nation.Do not let media influence you for worst. Know the entire story before casting your verdict.But the changed we want to see for the Philippines should start from ourselves :) if she ran for president i will vote her.

Well said and so as your reply to jb2006x. It is really sad and unfortunate that a lot of us Filipinos still do not see the brilliance in Sen Santiago to the point that some label her as a crazy woman. Her style is not the norm for the politics of the Filipinos. But I believe that her style is what is needed to clean by exposing her inept corrupted constituents. Unfortunately, we continue to vote for these type of politicians. We continue to punish our country :(

Sayang lang wala ka na sa Senado Madam, ull be under ICC, sana lang ganyan ang ibang senator, bomoboto because of their political ambitions... Poor country...

I believe her saying that her standard is very high, Sen. Santiago did her assignment. Everyone in the Senate said their pieces.. pero naiiba si Sen. Santiago, talagang she looks deeper and dig the most details of the subject. kaya may guilty or not guilty dahil sa may loopholes and conflict na nasisilip.. pero ung justification or the reasons how and why you find it a loophole or conflict, un ang mabigat. Sana mareview nila ang mga batas natin at para next time walang makitang butas. wish lang

The Tiger Woman of Asia in its full glory. In a subjective sense, Miriam's vote is the only thing I need to prove my innocence. I'm glad she will be taking her office in the International Criminal Court so that it will prove to the international community that there are people like her that puts justice and equality above anything else. And to those who say otherwise are idiots and good luck finding anyone as impressive as Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

Sayang dude. The Philippines need more people like Miriam and you. A true passion, not a passion that overlaps with the welfare of our country. Kaya lang hindi siya tinig ng nakararami...tinig nalang ng kakaunti. Ang masaklap, ang tinig ng mga memes sa facebook na nakawheel chair sina GMA at si Corona (at naka-ATV pa si Miriam) na di naman nanonood ng trial since day 1 o mga walang pakialam sa layunin ng batas ang sumusunod sa mga taong ginagamit tayo para sa kanilang kadamutan.

They ruined a life just to gain favor from the president who and foremost planned this evil scheme...look at what is happening now? the ones who condemned this man(former chief justice) is now being chased of their corrupt acts as Senator Santiago has said in the impeachment..they are the ones who committed crime worse than what they have alleged on the former chief justice..I was always hoping what they did to this man be done with them also...and i think it's starting to happen..READ the NEWS!
