Mirka’s Cafro HP3 grinding wheel

This is a grinding wheel that I’ve been using for awhile now and I am very excited about it. I also like their 1V1. At one point in the video I say “vitrified carbide “ but I meant “vitrified diamond “.

Thanks! I'm going to look into them. You should make more tool grinding videos. I know there are probably only a few of us that have CNC tool grinders but I would be interested.

Hi Alfred, I am thinking about starting with tool grinding for my business. How much does a grinding wheel like this cost about? Are the price differences between the different geometry’s of wheels huge?

Sven Jordan I wheel like this cost about $500. But they can range for grinding in oil anywhere from $300-$2000 so it really depends on what you’re trying to do and accomplish. Because I do only specials we can’t really have wheels specific for one operation because I’m putting anywhere from 4 to 10 different jobs in the machine on a daily basis so I can’t do that if I’m changing up wheels all the time so I need a really multi-purpose wheel and that’s where a wheel like this, hybrid bond , comes in.
