A look at our Miroku shotgun catalogues from the 1970s/1980s.
We have been asked to do a video about the older Miroku Shotguns product catalogues that we have in store.
3 of these Miroku Shotguns catalogues were sent to us by a very kind person who had been viewing our videos. So Thank you very much, we have a love for Miroku shotgun history and it was great to be able to look at the Miroku shotgun models within these books.
In this video we show different Miroku shotgun models from their various catalogues, which we believe date around the late 1970s to early 1980s.
We also show a very good condition Miroku Shotgun owners handbook. This would have been included with every new Miroku shotgun.
We particularly like the catalogue which shows the different versions of Miroku President shotgun. These were the Miroku G11, Miroku G12 and Miroku G13.
At the bottom of these Miroku shotgun books lists the Miroku Shotgun Factory and Miroku Headquarter addresses.
These catalogues show from when Miroku only sold Trap/Skeet and Hunting shotguns, to when they started offering the Miroku Sporting Shotguns range.
There are some lovely Miroku shotguns shown in these books. Including the Miroku 3000, Miroku President, Miroku 3000 and Miroku 4800.
They also show the various different Miroku shotgun grades they offered and their different Miroku shotguns model names over the years.
We have done KZfaq videos of some of the shotguns featured in these booklets.
You can find our full Miroku Shotgun playlist here:
• Miroku 3800 W Shotgun ...
Some of our most popular Miroku shotgun videos are of the Miroku President Grade 12.
• BEAUTIFUL! Miroku Spor...
and the Miroku 3700 Skeet Shotgun comparisons.
• Miroku Shotguns Review...
We are a stockist of Miroku Sporter Shotguns and Miroku Hunter shotguns, so please feel free to take a look through our website.

You and Paul's enthusiasm is infectious! Is the thing that's wrong with the multi-page spread that they are game guns, but the photo shows broken clay? Love these videos and you've convinced me to get a shotgun licence and enjoy finding and buying something interesting. I've only ever done one have a go clay shoot, and I enjoyed it.

I own a Miroku Model FEII Sidelock SxS. I believe to be of the 70s vintage. Anything in the catalogues in this model?

I remember the Miroku Traditions brochure! Bought a new 3800R 32" Trap Gun, black action, full and full in 1982 for £500. A year later bought a 3800 Grade 3 for £750. Still have both guns with all the paperwork, certificates, badges etc. Both have been faultless and I love the fact they are not overbored. (Nagging doubt averted when using fibre wads). People often comment how new they look and how sharp the chequering feels even after all these years. Will never sell them as I have tried other makes costing a fortune but these guns feel made to measure for me and have never failed.

If Miroku brought out a mk 3800 in grade 5 30"/32" small action 20 bore I would be first in the queue, And think they would have a massive seller on there hands with nothing to compare with it for the quality and money .Really enjoying the vids .

Love them older books/magazines. I think it would be awesome if there was a place where these were scanned and uploaded pdf. onto the internet for everyone to enjoy and use for research! Also what was the obvious mistake? Cheers!

4 years later. I have just stumbled on your KZfaq channel. There exists a possibility that I can buy an over and under Miroku with the the number709643. No alphabetical Letters. So I guess i could be from before 1970 as that information is readily available. I have been offered to test shoot it. My research reading stumbled across the stock length in general for Browning and Miroku was 14 inch or thereabouts, whereas other makes would make their stock an inch longer eg: 15inch plus. The other mystery I am trying to research is that when dry firing the single trigger, it does not allow the second barrel to strike when pulling the trigger again, which is related to not being able to use the recoil energy to cycle / set up the 2nd trigger pull into readiness..... The third issue I am researching is how the safety switch works??? When dry firing, the forward and backward sliding safety switch dealt with control over the 1st barrel. The 2nd pull on the single trigger did not work. Instead the safety switch had to be pushed to the left for it to be activated. Is this correct ? Your input would be appreciated.

It's french. If you're going to the British Shooting Show it would be nice to see shotgun videos of: Blaser Krigeoff Fausti Rizzini Caesar Guerini F.A.I.R Fabarm Zoli Beretta Browning, and also the cheap stuff like Holland&Holland and Purdey! The videos are cool. From Québec!

I am looking at a 26 inch Miroku. It seems to have no chokes. A pal has inherited it from his recently departed dad. There is no model number to be found. The BC Miroku name is under the workings. It has an original recoil pad [the white band sandwich at join of timber and rubber] and rather ordinary wood but a lovely delicate all over etching including the whole length width of the trigger guard, even the fore end catch is etched. I can't read the figures on the barrel end but under the release lever, inside the fore end and at base of the trigger guard the numbers 698226 . There are no date letters anywhere, just this number. Any ideas please as to what it is and any values?

Any letters after the number? If not it's pre 1975. Does it have .719 or .729 on the barrels? Has it any proof marks on crossed swords? More info needed.
