But it won't be enough in a year.But one fact cannot be taken away from Bára. She is a shining example of combativeness when things don't work as they should at all. However, I am afraid that she has now hit her limit, and even this combativeness will not be enough for Sabalenka.

Andreeva has a bright future ahead of her, but this match highlighted that she lacks any real weapons off the ground at the moment. As she gets older and stronger, no doubt she will develop them.

This is why I felt people were celebrating too soon when Mirra knocked out Ons, like as if she won the AO24. Give the girl a chance and some space to really show us what she has. As evident by Barbora coming back to win, it appears that Mirra still has more to learn

Relatively speaking, she's already one of the best. Almsot no one has achieved the things she has in such a time span... Of course there are a lot of things to learn, but that just shows how strong she will be one day - when she's on par with the top girls while still having much potential for improvement, I think it's not "too soon" to celebrate...

@@Luckyluckyluc Seles and Hingis come to mind, no? They had slams under their belt at Andreeva's age. I think the issue is we all speak in hyperbole these days, so we see a kid with a bit of talent and we claim she's going to be the next big thing. It took Gauff five years to fulfill her potential, and back in 2019 people were already talking about her breaking the slam record.The bs AND a burden. Andreeva is talented and likeable. It seems like she's dedicated to the sport. But a lot can happen, and which players have that spark to take their talent and reach the ultimate heights in tennis is always a mystery. Let's admire what she's accomplished and not look too far ahead.

@@deedledave9826 I said almost no one - I know of Seles and Hingis but they don't even play anymore... Different times... WTA has come a long way; with them now having all the big tournaments with good prize money etc. a lot more are getting into professional tennis. As I said, I'm saying this looking from a relative perspective - and right now there is almost no one who we can compare to. I mean, just in the past few years we had Iga and Elena coming to the tour with groundstrokes so much better than what we were used to on the WTA tour, almost comparable to lower tier ATP/ITF level. And then to have someone like Mirra step on the pro court just last year and already and upsetting many of the top contenders who had years of experience on the tour IS incredible...

Krejcikova showed a real class on the court. Clean shots, perfect timing and techniqe. A pleasure to watch her tennis. Mirra has the future , perhaps as a next Sharapova, but so far not much to offer

Not a big deal, Mirra lost to a very skilled player who is clever with her shots and finds your weakness fast. Mirra already kind of gave away her weakness in the interview previous to this match when she said she prefers to play from the baseline, Krejcikova attacked the net with volleys and used drop shots when Mirra was far behind the baseline. Mirra will learn a great deal from this loss, tennis isn't all about power. The Czech players are so skillful and good to watch in action.

Krejcikova too much game and experience to fold out like Parry did in the previous round. She came to the net A LOT and winning the mouse and cat rallies more than the youngster. Deserved win.

@@user-cj6rr1fe4o Oba dva tu píšete nesmysly jeden za osmnáct a druhý za dvacet bez dvou. 1)Toto do "super "výkonu mělo opravdu daleko. V prvním setu velmi špatná hra, později (cca až na druhou půli rozhodujícího setu) průměrný výkon, který dnes stačil na velmi talentovanou, ale notně přemotivovanou 16 -letou Rusku (kterou již někteří pasovali málem za vítězku celého letošního turnaje).Pokud s ní Bára bude hrát znovu za rok, tak tento "super" výkon na Andreevu už stačit vůbec nebude. Stejně tak jako nebude zcela určitě stačit na rozjetou Sabalenkovou. Pokud se Bára nezlepší, tak v dalším kole nemá absolutně šanci. 2.) Ne každý Rus na tribuně se jmenuje Ivan, takže se zbytečnými pejorativy a dehonestací bych byl opatrný. Generalizovat jen proto že někdo je příslušník Vašeho obecně neoblíbeného národa je velmi neuctivý a omezený postoj. Если бы сегодня победила Андреева, радость россиян не знала бы границ, так чему же вы удивляетесь!? Крейчикова выбила теннисистку, которая ранее выбила Онса, трехкратного финалиста турниров Большого шлема. Так что логично, что мы, чехи, довольны и пожалуйста, не пишите здесь чушь.

@@marty6945 Я сам решаю, где мне и что писать! Я понимаю радость болельщика за своего спортсмена. Я не понимаю радости победы над подростком.. К сожалению, Мирра, 2 и 3 сет практически подавала мячи под удары Барбары по своим углам.. Поэтому есть вопросы к её тренеру.. Но то что она устала, это тоже очевидно.. Так что радуйтесь этому у себя в Чехии.

Как мне кажется Мирре не хватает пока мощи в ударе, а без неё нужно свести к минимуму собственные ошибки.Да и она действительно, возможно, слишком требовательна к себе это заставляет её психовать и тем самым создаёт сама себе проблемы в игре.

When they show the winner, people keep complaining that they reveal the result. It's actually by far the most frequent complaint under tennis videos. Ideally, they should show both players in the thumbnail. I can only guess that they insist on including only one player, despite constant complaints, because the thumbnails can often be very small and two players would be unrecognizable... So at least the choice should be random.

@@huzcer you never know. Today's quaterfinalist Marta Kostiyk (21 yo) won Junior AO in 2017 at 14, next year at 15 she lost in the third round of adult AO to a countrymaid Svitolina. It took her 6 years to go one step further. And Mirra today lost in a third round too...

Мирра изначально вышла на матч без того огонька ,как в предыдущих играх ,как будто и не хотела очень очень его выиграть ,без желания и хотения большого что ли ,мол и так дошла далеко и хорошо уже ,не в свою игру играла ,в которую может играть ,проиграла ,ну и что 😊
