What makes this so great is that the monster/killer is never revealed, the unknown the greatest fear, which why when we hear abnormal noises or we see shadows on the celling we get scared. So the fact that we only get a glimpse of it makes the story more intriguing.

Really an amazing style and animation! I know this is pencil on paper, but I'm trying to find tutorials as to how to make a character in 2.5D style since I'm doing a 2.5D animation. I saw your video about the fake 3D character rotation of the face, but couldn't find any tutorials on that. :(( Which ones would you recommend? Also were the environment props 3D models rendered and painted to look 2D?

Thanks! This is all drawn, I haven't used any 3D props in any of the videos on my channel. I haven't done any tutorial yet I'm afraid. I always seem to move on to another project and haven't found the time. I think there are many different ways to setup characters for animation in After Effects, I've developed a technique that suits my style, but others do it differently. Easiest way is to just move facial features around as your character turns, if your design allows for it (mine doesn't).
